“Don’t worry, I’m a heavy sleeper.” “Do you think she could sleep through me smothering her with a pillow?”
“If I had a nickel for every stupid thing you’ve said, I’d buy a gun and shoot you in the face with it.”
“The greatest king is the greatest servant.”
“That’s all you need in life: common sense, and a fire extinguisher.”
“If you could dance with dragons, would you still want to walk with humans?”
“Are you insane, or has your mind finally snap, crackle popped?”
“Somewhere in this world, there is someone just like you. And when the two of you meet, one of you will end up dead and the other will end up in jail.” ~ Alphonse Mustang
“How do you stay so calm?” “I think in a past life I handled dangerous explosives.”
“Why do you always freak about every little thing, you’re such a drama queen!” “I am NOT a drama queen! I’m a princess.”
“No one is an Angel. You got to look after yourself, kid. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that everyone in this god forsaken city is going give two shits about you, or what you do,” said the strange man as he pulled a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it; he took a long drag before he continued talking, “The only one who can save yourself is you. You got to believe in yourself, never give up hope, and be strong. Don’t let things get to you because if you do, you’ll be torn down like the building we’re standing in.” He turned towards Kit and stared deep into her eyes, letting his words sink in. Finally, he began his walk towards the door, just as the wrecking ball started to smash through the wall. “What?” “Get up kid. We have things to do.”
“Why is it that if you die doing something you’re more of a hero than you are if you somehow survive it?” “Because if you’re alive you’re still around to make smart comments.” “Hadn’t thought of that.” “Obviously.”
“Don’t worry, a few broken ribs, internal bleeding, and a concussion, overall I’d say I’m in pretty good shape.” “How optimistic.”
“So, you’re one of those tragic stories with the bad past?” “Hey, my past ain’t dark, I like it, it’s just my present that sucks.”
“You know what’s really boring? Weddings. I used to hate going to weddings, old people would always poke me and go ‘You next!’ But they stopped ever since I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.”
“What if you die?” “Then you won’t have to worry about me anymore.”
“I hope what I think is happening isn’t happening because if it is happening...why don’t I know what’s going on?”
“Do you always get into fights like that?” “I try not to.” “Not hard enough, apparently.”
“Honestly, some days I wonder if your brain woke up along with the rest of you.”
“You just tried to kill me.” “Well, shall we get it right this time?!”
“Can I borrow something?” “What?” She leaned forward and kissed Leon quickly before pulling away with a pink hue on her cheeks. “I’ll give it back to you later.”
Kit stood shocked to be looking down at her own body laying on the hard concrete floor surrounded by her co-workers. None of them seemed to acknowledge that she was also standing right there. This gave Kit a bad feeling and it was confirmed as one of her co-workers blurted out. “Oh my God he’s dead!” “Oh God I’m dead, I’m dead." Kit dropped to her knees. “No wait she has a pulse,” said another co-worker as his fingers felt her. “Oh thank, God! I’m not dead! I’M ALIVE!!!!” yelled Kit and she then looked again at her body lying on the floor. “Wait a second! What just happened?”
“I feel like I’m about to jump off a cliff.” “Don’t do it! The ocean water might cushion the blow! Try leaving the car on in a closed garage!”
“They say to follow your heart. But if your heart is broken into many pieces, which piece do you follow?”
“My heart knows who I love but my brain is too much of a dumb-a** to listen.”
“Don’t plan the future, it never turns out the way you want it to.”
“Kit?” asked Leon. He stared at her, he’d never seen her look like that before. She seemed so horribly sad, so eternally miserable. He couldn’t stand it even if he didn’t understand it, he had to stop it. “Why did forever have to be so short?” She placed her hand on his cheek and looked in his eyes. She was on the verge of tears, she knew she wouldn’t be able to hold them back much longer and if she stayed around she knew she’d do something she’d regret. She couldn’t save him. “Kit?” The way he said her name took her breath away. Oh, how she missed him. His smile, his voice, the way he was always there for her, she hated how much she felt like she’d forgotten. Her arms acted on their own accord and pulled her into him, wrapping themselves merciless around her neck as she forced herself onto her toes and kissed him as hard as she could. It was so warm and it spread through out her whole being, electrocuting her. “Good-bye,” whispered Kit as she began to cry. Before he could ask what she meant she chanted the spell to send her to her next destination.
“You might think that you’re not good enough, but that’s not for you to decide.”
“The only guy that deserves you is the one who doesn’t think he does.” ~ Richard Trent
“Go play in traffic.”
“Why not just kill me?” “Mercy is the mark of a great person,” said Kit and she lightly stabbed him, “Guess I’m just a good person.” She repeated the poking. “Ow!” “Well, I’m alright.”
“I can deal with the magical press, I prefer them over the mortal press because they know how many ways I can kill them and get away with it,” said Kit. “There are magical newspapers?” asked James. “Yes.” “What? Like the Daily Prophet?” “What part of you’re not ******** Harry Potter do you not understand?” “Well it’s all the same magic isn’t it?” “No, you damn moron. It’s not. Harry Potter is fictional! This is real! And you should be glad she practically killed everyone in that last book.” “So do you like use owls...?” “No, why in the hell would we use owls when we can enchant objects to appear where ever we want them to?” “Owls would be cool.” “I really will kill you...just ask the magical press.”
“You didn’t have to wound that man.” “Yeah, I know. It was just funny.”
“How is she?” asked Josh. “I’m not going to lie to you,” said the doctor, "She’s not good. Over half the bones in her body are broken, she covered in severe burns and she’s lost a lot of blood. And since none of our healing spells seem to be working it could take her a few years to fully recover and even then -.” They walked into Kit’s hospital room and froze at the sight of the empty bed. The doctor gawked at it open mouthed. “Where is she?” “Uh-.” “What’s up?” asked a voice from behind them. They turned around and saw Kit standing there with a spoon in her mouth and a cup of strawberry Jello in her hand. “What are you doing!?” yelled Josh. “I went to get some Jello,” said Kit and they stared at her, which she took as a sign to give another explanation, “I was hungry and I like Jello.” “You’re not serious!” “Of course I am, everyone likes Jello.” “But -,” said the doctor. “What?” “Your injuries-?” “They’re healed.” She stuck another spoon full of Jello in her mouth. “I can see that.” They both stared at her, there wasn’t a single scratch on her. “So-.” “How?” asked Josh, “I mean, you were so hurt. A normal person-.” “Okay, Josh, what about our past experiences together would give you the notion that I was normal?” He looked at her and she ate another spoonful.
“Well, then what’s the word for adventure?” She made a face at him. “There isn’t really one. Do you want the closest approximate translation?” “Sure.” “Well, it’s ik’bn nazzir roth ke. Or just ik’bn nazzir would suffice.” “And what would be the translation?” “It means ‘A tragic act of idiocy’, essentially.”
“At least I have a positive attitude about my destructive habits.”
“Everybody dies.” “Yes, but as a demon hunters it tends to happen slightly sooner and in the most horribly brutal and painful ways imaginable.”
“A nice guy is poison to a lonely girl.”
“Don’t look back. If you got something to do, then only look forward.”
