Nuriko's POV
I felt pissed off suddenly. I didn't intend to read her mind. It was an accident. My mistrees's fault. She activated my gift. One of them atleast. I felt rage at my fingertips. If I was anymore angry, I would have made thunder, lighting, maybe even a tornado. All under my control. I would make it distructive, chaotic. I but my lip, fighting the urge. I would not give into Lady Zaruu. She was toying with my mind, making me think evil, distructive thoughts. I faught her back. 'No' I told her in my mind. I heard a soft growl deep inside me. Lady Zaruu. My mistress. If she really wanted too, the Sleek Icy Black, shapeshifting, evil, 7-tailed Wolf beast could take me over. But, I wasn't normal. I was stronger than anyone I knew. I could fight back, but I would have to try extra hard. My Mistress had God like powers. That was a plus though, every power she got, I got. I smiled wryly. 'I will become stronger than you ever could dream to be' I promised myself, and my demon. I heard a howl, peircing my mind. 'You jsut wait and see' I told her again, I heard what she said. She had mocked me. "You will not. You are tallented, yes... but I could kill you if I was desired so!" she had howled. I rolled my eyes eyes as she howled again "Why are you talkinn to me like Im a dog? Don't tell me what to do!" I snapped at her in my mind. I neared Shikamaru and Naruto. Naruto looekd at me worridly. He had been my best friend ever since I was little. He was very happy when I came here last week. I couldn't tell him that moki wanted to leave. Again. He also knew how I felt. Having a evil, power-thirsty demon trying to crack a seal inside of you. And if that happened, we both could die. He knew what was going on by my expression. Shikamaru ignroed me. He was walking inside of the Hokage's Temple. He stopped at the door and stared past me, looking at Reina. Reina waved at him like a dumb-blonde. 'Like Sakura or Ino would to Nii-san' I thought. I looked at Naruto as he mumbled "Hey, Nuriko-chan" I smiled a fake smile. It was hard, how could I have when my Mistress was yelling at me in wolf howls? I strained to look normal. Naruto had noticed "Hey. If Zaruu is troubling you, try and ignore her... I mean, I know it is hard...but..." he stopped. I noticed he turned red. "Naruto-kun?" I asked worridly as another peircing howl ran through my head. I extened my arm out to him "Thanks" I purred. Reina ran past us both and over to Shikamaru, who was inside. Naruto looked at me "Sorry. I know your strong. You can do it" he said softly. I smiled, for real this time. Zaruu-hime had stopped yelling at me, or she was trying still, but I had blocked her out. I couldn't tell.
