Chapter Three
I wondered what i should do first. She heard a strange squawking noise in the forest behind her and decided to go she what it was. Then my stomach started to grumble and I realized how hungry I was and decided to look in the forest for food. I was looking probably every where for food, on the ground and in the trees. Then I bumped into a tree and a banana fell at my feet. I then reached for another banana and a flash of red came at me and pecked my hand.
I screamed out in pain and muttered a curse at the red flash. I accidentally thought out loud and said,” What the heck was that?" Suddenly another voice said the same thing as me but with a squawk. I laughed. My red flash was a parrot.
I started to talk to the parrot and feed it the stale crackers that I had found in my pocket. I think the parrot thought that I was its friend now because it started to perch on my shoulder. I picked more bananas and headed over to where my stuff was with my new friend, the parrot on my shoulder.
I looked up in the sky and found clouds. I realized that there was a storm coming! I looked all over for some shelter and found to my luck a cave. I picked up my things and brought them over to the cave just before the rain came. I ate my meal of bananas and water and also feeding the parrot crackers inside the safety of the cave. I then started to teach the bird who I had decided to name Polly some words. Then I heard a strange trickling noise at the back of the cave and started to wonder what it was.
