Midol + Kitty = Insanity
Okay. So I'm a girl. Right? Duh.

That means that I have a that time of the month thing. Right? Duh again.

I also have veeeerrryyy bad cramps during that time of the month. And yet I have grown immune to Ibuprophin. My mom forgot to buy me Pamprin, so my grandma went off and bought me Midol. So I took the recommended dosage. Two tablets. At about four in the afternoon.

You see, I didn't see that Midol has caffine in it. For every two tablets, it's like getting a cup of coffee. Midol is also a stimulent. It also has a wierd effect when a person consumes more caffine drinks or foods. I did not know this. I drank pop a couple hours after taking the Midol, but kept sipping at it all afternoon and into the evening. I take a very long time to drink soda, sometimes.

So, the caffine is still in my system, right? Okay. Well, now say it's two AM and I'm cramping again. So I take another dosage. It's been more than six hours, so it's fine to take it.

I tried to go to bed. And I laid there. For hours. Two hours, in fact. I finally realized that something was wrong and I was not at all tired. So I got up out of bed and went to the bathroom to find the Midol package. I looked at the list symptoms on the box. It says it causes hyperactivity, especially in children. So, of course this offends me. I am no friggin' child.

I went back to bed, gave up after about ten minutes and read a book for an hour. It is now about five AM.

I get bored of reading, so I pace around my room for a while. A while = 1 hour.

Again, I start to wonder, so I go back to find the Midol package. I read on another panel. It points out that if someone has a caffine related food or beverage after using the drug, it could cause sleeplessness. It was all I saw, but I didn't come back to read the rest for another half hour. I had been annoyed at myself for not sleeping.

The package said that it also caused irritablility, nervousness, and occationally an increased heart rate. I tried to count how fast my heart was beating per minute, but I either lost track or lost the pulse. Finally, I think I got a good idea of the number. I think it was about 90. Is that good or bad? I'm not sure.

So I pace and read and read and pace until six thirty, when my dad comes home from work. I explained to him what had happened, because he seemed rather annoyed. Then he pitied me. Geh.

He went to bed, but I still couldn't. I was on the highest caffine high I have ever been on. Ever. I did try to lay down after that. I really did. But at seven thirty in the morning, I gave up and got up to take care of the animals we have. Two dogs, a cat, a guinea pig, a hedgehog, and a bird. Then I went to check on my Grandma, who now lives in our basement. She was awake, so I explained - among other, more random things - what had happened at about 2000 miles an hour. She thought it was funny.

When my mom found out, she was sooo mad. She tried to get me to go to bed, but I told her I couldn't sleep. I laid in there for 40 minutes, got bored, then got up. Again. This time I stayed up.

Needless to say, the day was entertaining. People had to tell me to slooow doooown. I would talk fast, run around doing chores I'm usually loathe to do, and other things. While the choes finally getting done made my parents very happy, the rest annoyed them.

By the way, I had taken more Midol at seven in the morning. I was hurting again and I had nothing else. So basically I'm running on three cups of coffee, and now two cans of pop.

At least I'm starting to calm down now.

Phew... That was long. It would have been longer, too, if I had explained everytihng. Which I did not. Lucky you.

I feel... dizzy. @___@

I don't like to take baths if someone is home. I take them when I'm alone in the house. But I've done the shower thing before.
The bread is a good idea. I'll try that next time, thanks. ^^

And as for the hamster wheel, my parents may be slightly annoyed if I installed one in my room. I could always run up and down the stairs a lot.
