This anime should only be viewed by a mature audience do to extreme graphic violence

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni or The Moment the Cicadas Cry is an anime that any horror fan will probably love. The story revolves around Maebara Keiichi who has moved to a seemingly peaceful rural village in Hinamizawa. However this rural village has a dark secret which starts to come to light after Keiichi befriends four girls Rena, Mion, Rika, and Satoko and joins their club.
Its very hard to talk about this anime with out giving huge spoilers being that the first arc ends with a death and then the story flips so that it seems as if that character never died. The entire anime is like this even at the end of the last ark which results in some very confusing moments. pluses out of every one who is support to be dead or thought to be dead there is only one character who never repairs alive in the anime. This is proves to be very important though out the anime, but I will not say why here.
Like I said above this anime should only be viewed by a mature audience and with good reason, my experience with Japanese horror anime has been that it tends to be very realistic. While the anime is mostly horrifying in the psychological scene it is very dark and contains many graphic deaths that could easily give first time anime fans and young people nightmares.
Over all I give this anime a 10/10
