• My heart races as i stare into the light

    A ball of fire falls from the night sky

    Moving tides and clouds the light burned so bright

    My eyes watered frozen tears and i could only ask why

    for my chest kindled in a fiery might



    I hurried to find a treasure blowing in the breeze

    What i found there in the smouldering heat

    i knew then how my tears could freeze

    a fallen angel with tears falling to her feet



    She looked up to me with blue-gray eyes

    and i knew why an angel surrounded by ashes would cry

    as i spoke so softly i wasn't sure she would hear

    that i could lover her broken wings and she will never fear



    And I was sure God was saving two souls

    as to what i did behold

    from her eyes to her smile the color did spread

    and i knew finally love that was not to dread.
