A black silhouette, masked in pale moonlight
glitters off the lake, escaping into the night
her beauty purged, on a mans ecstasy
her I lay, wondering if she has everything.
Does she miss her love, when he isn't home
is her heart whole, or is she made of all bone
every night is he out late, as she sleeps alone
is she really happy, in her aging insanity.
A black silhouette, her rose long wilted
as she sits on her bed, tears flowing
masked in the beauty, of her lovers ecstasy
is she happy, that is a mystery.
