• Surrounded by the music,
    I close my eyes and smile.
    The music engulfs me
    And I begin to dream.

    First black, darkness
    Nothing exists except me.
    Then a small flash of red
    Off to my left.
    No, green to my right.
    There! Closer to the center
    Yellow pulses with the bass.
    Teal floats above my head
    Flying up and down with the vocals.
    Orange light glowed around my body.
    I've never felt so alive.
    The grand staff materializes
    Before me, stunningly gold and bright.
    It waves up and down
    Like a flag waving
    In the gentle breeze.
    I find my hips and feet
    Moving to the beat and
    A person steps out of the darkness.
    He moves closer and bows
    Like a chilvarous knight.
    He smiles a shiny white smile
    And takes my hand.
    Suddenly there is a symphony
    Of beautiful music, faces, and color.
    It's nothing I've ever seen before!
    The man and I are dancing
    A ballroom dance I've never heard of.
    We twist and turn to the music
    And suddenly everything is gone and black again.

    I open my eyes and find the song is over.
    I exhale in ecstasy.
    Then I reach for my iPod
    And play the song again.
