Kaleidoscope
Calm august morning
No sunshine today… so long to the fantasy of being in reality
Grasping at particles meshing a cloak to hide our false identities
Farewells are in order and wills to be written but first,
An elegy for someone, who in a few hours, we won’t be missing.
Sparking heated debates over crochets and spews
People working their “tired hands”
Weaving threads of light, beneath thinly veiled shadow glass.
It’s a painted mesh. It’s a stupid joke.
It’s a painted machine. It’s almost dream like.
Heated December afternoon
Vacant rooms in some closet motel…alone
Finishing the next Grapes of Wrath
Stash on 99cents store shelves in a small town.
Life’s a formula, but nobody’s good at math, so no one cares to solve it…
Bankrupt, homeless, and unemployed equals’ freedom.
It’s a painted mesh. It’s a stupid joke.
It’s a painted machine. It’s almost dream like.
Muddy April Evening
Watching films on mute while listening to catch a drop of rain.
Canisters full of brandy in the fridge Brandy’s full of s**t, but that’s purpose enough I guess
The centerfold of the universe is heaving breaths, blows ashes astray.
It’s a painted mesh. It’s a stupid joke.
It’s a painted machine. It’s almost dream like.
Years move in cycles in my washing machine
It’s almost dream like…like…like...like
