Sky high, the moon brightens up the darkened room,

Staring at the window, not sure how I can tell you,

That I believe I could do anything for you like a flowers last bloom,

But only to see that I have made twenty mistakes isn’t new.

Rain spills onto the pavement where I wrote your name in blue,

May someone just smile for me and say, “I’ll give you a clue?”



When the day comes, me and you alone,

The world could be in flames,

And I wouldn’t give any reasons to ever leave your side.

I am a fighter, all and only for you,

I am your soldier, always there to protect you.



Back in reality, time moves so slowly,

As all I can do is dream of you, momentarily.

The day I am too late and you find that someone else,

I will step back, smile and watch as you smile every day.



Keeping you happy is too important,

It’s the only thing I want to do for you.

I will always remember that I love you, as nothing and no one will take it away.

Hey, bro! It's running smoothly, save for a couple hitches wear I bump. The "soldier only for you," doesn't run with all the other solid rhyming couplets around it... Was that intentional? Or am I just reading it wrong? Also, I'd really work the ending. What kinda' relationship you wanting? Mull that over in your head. It might just help with how you pose the last verse. Good luck!
