I walk through the deserted streets ready to fight.
My comrades stand by me ready to die.
We walk through the unknown ready to kill.
Guns up and eyes sharp, we knew what to do.
The enemy waits at the camp.
All unprepared for what should happen.
They sit all vulnerable, about to die.
A simple shot, A Simple kill.
We run out thinking we know what will happen.
Little did we know they knew we were here.
A shot from the blind sends us reeling.
We run to cover, bullets peeling. We see the sniper overhead ready to fire
we’re almost dead. He sees me in his scope.
A Simple Shot, A Simple Kill.

- Thank you for understanding why i made this poem, i personally don't enjoy love poems because they are so common, poems such as these give so many more complex feelings, and so many different view points.

- I really like this. Usually, we see poems about love or loss, and this is unique in that it takes something from history and brings us to emotions that help us to relate to that time. smile Good job!
