has no effect on what I do
Telling me I'm painful to see

petty lies and sweet nothings
doesn't make it true
So don't you tell me anything, because

Description:
Written from the perspective of my mother's alcoholic ex-boyfriend. I hate that manipulative b*****d, and the feelings are mutual. That said, I like to think I see where he's coming from.
When I wrote this, I was listening to the song "Notes," by Meric Long.
Very good stuff. - Date: 09/25/2011
