I wear them on my wrist
Where my heart used to be
Just a silent reminder
Of what you think of me
That all I bring is sadness
And all i offer you is grief
It clouds the air in silence
Till there is no relief
I just wish you to know
That when I looked to the grey
I prayed the sun would never shine
And the rains wash me away
Down the river, past the roses
Past the waiting post
Because these are little things
I know you loved the most
And I could not be among them
So said your harsh words
You spoke them so silently
That everybody heard
So I wrapped my heart in kudzu
To hide the honest truth
That I was never roses red
But violent violets blue
And through the seeds
Of Kudzu weeds
Sprang up from all the violence
Fifteen hundred thousand kinds
Of sweetly scented violets

- I don't know what a Kudzu is... But, I like the poem. It's sad yet with the touch of courage from the character the aura changed to a feeling of being renewed. ~The truth is harder to hide than entirely anything else.~
