I sit in my room,
Glass breaking behind my door.
Voices yelling so loud they echo in my ears.
The lights are out
The cover is over my head as you enter the room.
Hate bellowed from my heart as you began your journey,
but I kept silent.
You said you loved me.
I suffered from the scars you left behind.
A year goes by.
Things change.
I love people, friends, and anyone but you.
Then you hated me, abused me,
But I held on still.
Now you are away from me.
I still suffer from the scars you left behind.
You never cared, you never loved, I was only a tool.
Now, you know how it feels.
I still suffer from the scars you left behind.

Description:
This is something I wrote years ago. I'm over what it's about now. Of course some of you will know what it's about. Read carefully. I know that some of you will think it's stupid but people need to know that stuff like this really happens and people don't just make it up!!
P.S. Poetry doesn't have to rhyme!!! - Date: 11/24/2010

Unless otherwise stated, I would expect the poem to rhyme. If you are intending for this to be a different type of poem, please put what it is so we all know how to read it.
3/5 Has some depth to it, but I don't know how you intended for me to read it as so I didn't get the full effect of the message within it. - Report As Spam
