What a tragedy it is
For this boy left in solitude
Always in possession but never found
Oh and how he screams out to nothing
A man in body, a child in soul
With his head full of greed
and his dreams of power in the stars
One of his own
United in stubbornness
He waits for his savour
The righteous one,
he sees in he mirror,
winking back
Stares into its eyes of rage,
with utter disgust,
watches the surroundings turn to black
keeps hold of that moment,
between a blink and a tear
Rolling down his cheek
So Insignificant
so innocent
so pathetic
Drunk with shame
Stumbling through nothingness
witnessing the peak of all to come,
never to come,
until the not so inevitable end
Yet he fights without will
each tear turns into a fist
throwing itself into his reflection
each shimmering shard cuts his innocence
and he wonders
does fear make a stronger warrior?
But he is not fooled.
He knows.
This, like every time
Is only the beginning
