• As I lay on the crisp sheets of my bed ,
    I am consumed in thought.
    You are passing by in suttle memories.
    It's wrong , but I will not be caught.

    The pictures are flickering.
    Quick glimpses are all I can see.
    I am giving into the darkness.
    My mind wanders free.

    You and I stand in the crowd.
    But to us , we're the only ones.
    I am as cold as the moon.
    You burn bright as a million suns.

    Different in many ways .
    Yet it all has to fit.
    We're closly interwined .
    Or else we'd split.

    And as we sit at the dainty table.
    You look me in the eyes.
    Smiling that familiar smile.
    My heart protests in cries.

    Hurt already I move foward.
    Pretend it was all just a dream.
    Unaware that I'm already in one.
    I stare at that sunbeam.

    He leans in and our lips rejouice.
    As if they had never parted.
    As if everything that happend was meer.
    And I wasn't left empty-hearted.

    But as he leans away I deteste.
    I pull him foward and claim his lips.
    He is surprised at first.
    But then all suspicion rips.

    We are one.
    And it feels right.
    We thought we didn't know what to do.
    But now everything's shawn in a new light.

    This continues for awhile.
    We are careless about their stares.
    We are they only ones in the room .
    If they taunt us , who cares.

    We unlock and we take a deep breathe.
    It is at end.
    But I am still tingling.
    We're on mend .

    Now he just holds my hands in his.
    Strong grasp over my weak.
    He un-tangles one .
    I close my eyes as he reaches up to touch my flushed cheek.

    But as I open my eyes I am else where.
    Back in my sheets that are now out of line.
    I then remember something of importance.
    He is not mine.

    I hold my self together.
    I swear I won't cry.
    I don't know how much longer I can go.
    Living a lie.
