Turning darkness into light,
You can no longer tell day from night.
So few know of this disease,
So many fall victim to its pleas
Everyone who is affected fight it,
Yet no one is able to escape its grasp.
Little can be done to stop it from taking over,
It can easily take the world over.
It can crush us all in its powerful grasp,
And all you can do is plea and cry.
Let us sleep, or we will die.
Little is known of its cause,
yet it attacks without a pause.
Surely it is enough to make you plead,
'let me sleep, I can take the pain no more!'
Insomnia,
my friend,
is a deadly killer,
waiting to take its next victim.
Once you are in its grasp,
only death can put you to sleep..
