• Watching Time Go By

    From the beginning of time
    I slowly watched time go by
    As the leaves sway in the breeze
    Creatures around live their lives
    Watching the sun rise and fall with each day
    I continue to watch time go by

    As I watch my surroundings
    Change with each passing day
    Plants wither and die away
    Animals die and decay
    Day after day
    I continue to watch time go by

    I watch people live their normal lives
    Repeating the same routine everyday
    Always trying to make life better
    Living life to the fullest
    Trying to make it through each day
    I continue to watch time go by

    I watch the fall of countries
    The many wars of man
    Dieases ravaged the land
    The lives of people cut too short
    Watching the sadness of the world
    I continue to watch time go by

    As I watch time slowly go by
    Sometimes I wish
    For tomorrow to never come
    To never to see the next day
    After everything I have seen
    Since the beginning of time

    All the sadness
    Death and destruction
    The raise and fall of man
    Wars destory the land
    I sometimes wish
    For tomorrow to never come

    But then I think
    If tomorrow never came
    I would have to watch the same things
    Repeating themselves over and over
    The repeating of death and destruction
    All the sadness of the world repeating

    Now I think
    If tomorrow came
    It might be better than yesterday
    Maybe good things will happen
    The lives of people might not end to soon
    The wars might end peacefully

    Now I always want tomorrow to come
    I will always wait for tomorrow
    Waiting for the sun to rise
    Never looking back to yesterday
    Wondering what will happen today
    So I continue to watch time go by
