• Description: I'm a beginner when it comes to poetry, this is the first poem I've written in a couple years that wasn't for a school assignment. But I would love to have peoples opinion on this work.
  
  It was written to release some emotions I have been feeling since getting in contact with an old friend of mine.

I have not always been there,
but even still I really care.
Now that I am coming back,
I'll try to go give you all you lack.
Despite the change we've both been through,
I know I still want to be with you.

I can wait for you to decide,
but I really hope you let me reside,
both by your heart and at your side.
