IT IS ALL TRUE
by UC Poika
The sink is full of dirty dishes now,
The counter tops are cluttered, that’s for sure,
The frying pan has found a home there on the range,
And there’s papers on the microwave I know,
And coffee cups, a bowl and saucer sit somehow
Atop the table I must also concur
As a jar of peanut butter, some change,
A roll of toilet paper tissues--white like a snow--
But like Yu-Gi-Oh! cards really have no place to be
Just like my checks, that lost holder, and a book
Surrounding my laptop waiting there for me
To copy this sonnet, or just to take a look
At pictures online I would much rather view
Than those I saw while rhyming here with you!

- I was in my kitchen writing it in notebook while my friend borrowed my laptop, and kept on until I was done. Thanks man!

Kittilord? Yeeeeeeaaaahhhh.....
GTFO please. smile
I actually enjoyed this sonnet. This is one of few poems on this site that actually stick to a classic-style layout. I like how your related your situation to everyday household objects. Were you sitting in the kitchen while writing? Or maybe you're referring that this feeling is an everyday feeling?
Either way, I enjoyed this. 4/5. Keep it up. smile - Report As Spam
