    Who’s cried the most in the six months since he left this world
    They think they cared more about him than anyone else
    But they never think about the girl

    The cousin that hasn’t called since the funeral?
    The daughter who was his only child?

    Is it him, is it her, is it even up for debate?
    Would he be bitching if he were alive and saw the chaos that was going on in his own family?
    They say he’s watching over us, but they never watch their mouths when talking about him
    They blame things on his daughter, his wife, friends that haven’t been seen in years

    Who misses him the most?
    The liars and cheaters that think of everyone else is an enemy in this ‘game’?
    Who misses him the most?
    Old war-buddies who just can’t believe he’s dead?

    What about the girl?
    The girl who walked on the stage to get her diploma without him watching her…
    The girl who couldn’t sleep for weeks after he passed
    What about the girl who came home on the bus crying because she couldn’t call and tell him about her day?
    Did anyone think that maybe she’s the one who misses him the most?

    She’s still sitting in her room crying, half starving herself because all of her favorite foods were his
    The only thing he’d eat at the end are the very things she eats every day
    She can’t eat them anymore because she gets sick and starts crying all over again.

    She’s still wondering how she’s going to make it through her first day of college
    And then go home and not be able to tell him about her first day

    What about the girl,
    You know, the one who not only lost her grandfather, but her very best friend?
    The girl who lost the only person she could talk to without being judged?
    The girl who lost her career councilor and motivator?

    Didn’t they ever think that maybe she’s the one who misses him the most?

    They call her a childish brat for acting the way she’s acting
    But don’t they think maybe she’s acting that way because she’s alone?
    Don’t they ever think about their own actions and how childish they are?
    Don’t they ever wonder why she never cried at the funeral?
    Or realize that she’s going to go through her most important days without her best friend by her side?

    That’s the argument of the past few weeks and months, and probably will be for years…
