Bathing me in golden light,
Apollo’s golden rays.
Arrows of gentle heat,
Pierced my tanning skin.
Warmth of the golden orb,
Comforting my restless soul.
Through the sunlight meadows,
Lyrical gay laughter rang.
Singing of gentle nymphs,
Running through Nature’s beauty.
Dancing in the showers of light,
Flowers springing at their feet.
Beautiful Nature glowed,
Smiling in all her glory,
For summer is the time of year,
Where the fruits of labors bloom.
As the gentle West Wind blew,
Parting, is the clouds.
Revealing pale blue,
Soft hues better than gems.
All of Life smiled,
Waking from its long sleep.
Silently dancing,
To Orpheus' lovely song.
The nine Muses,
Singing a divine strain.
Celebrate!
For it is summer,
a merry, merry time.
Celebrate!
For laughter is still ringing in the air.
The time of year true freedom is granted,
And where Apollo reigns.
Celebrate!
For summer has come!
