You say you love me.
Oh,how cute you are with those silly notions.
Come now,let's be honest.
We both know we're lying to each other.
I guess will never stop playing pretend.
Children in grown up clothes,it never ceases to grow old.
We're so tasteless with our words.
Understand that you and I are confused,we don't belong in this play.
You say death is better on the stage than in the audience, but I don't want to
die either way.
Can't we step out just once and leave the past behind?
You smile at me,tell me I'm beautiful and that you believe I can go far.
Too bad,it's all a line and I already know how I'm supposed to respond.
I've decided I'm going to watch from a far.
The ending really isn't what I was hoping for.
So we'll close the curtains just like we always have before and pray that God will
cut the strings because it's all becoming much too real.
