-
Bars and measures of a forgotten tune
Of the lighter days,
Whe we cried less, and laughed more.
Stealing through the air and pierces my heart,
The tune is so familiar,
I sang it as a girl.
Back when I was a princess too.
Old pictures dredge against the edges of my memory
And I can't remember what, or where or how.
But I know it.
And the pain, the acute pain,
Of a memory coming to mind.
