King Jeremiah The Quiet One.
A little suburb shady and cold
Ends in a dead end at a house that is old,
before it runs into the new houses on the other side.
At the highest window you’ll see the frame lit,
Far displaced from the street lamps
Silhouetted is Jeremiah the quiet one.
King Jeremiah mighty and tall,
when he’s waging battles in his mind.
But at his home he’s always forgotten and left all alone
Locked away in his room to hold his sword
A dangerous pen to release all the discord
A painful last note for his mum.
The children at school don’t understand
The power that is King Jeremiah
His chained passion locked away within in his heart
The don’t understand Jeremiah’s cries
The can’t see their king locked away
Nor can they feel his quiet pain
Jeremiah plays by himself
Writing nonsense on his arm
He hears the angry yells from beyond the other side
As he bangs his head against the door
Jeremiah closing his eyes so tight,
Hoping for his soon release from this world.
King Jeremiah lays on his thrown
And pens his last creed
The saddest, loaded words ever written by a once great king
We never saw it coming, never thought to see
The little boy’s pleas of “please save me”
The cries of King Jeremiah the quiet one.

- Title: King Jeremiah the Quiet One
- Artist: Hot_Butterfly
- Description: this was written again for an English grade. Its loosely based off of Pearl Jams Jeremy. I had to write it in the style of another poem called "Ex-Basketball Player". If you've read it, you'll understand what I mean. Also, if it works on here, the lines are supposed to look uneven because if you turn it sideways it makes a picture.
