My Truest Love

• Description: This is a children's poem I wrote a long time ago. I had it published in a small poetry newsletter of fun poems for children back in 2001(Aardvark Adventurer) and it is the only poem I've published, though honestly I haven't submitted many of them. It just happened to fit with the things that publisher was looking for so I sent it. Yay for me I guess. Anyways, I hope that you all like it.

I can talk to you
And you're never cruel
Always there
That's your main rule
You never say it
But I know how you love me
And you don't care
About the rules of society
And I can tell you anything
You won't reveal it to a soul
Being mine and mine alone
Is your only goal
And when I'm sad and friendless
I know I still have you
The one who won't betray me
The one who's always true
I can soak you with my tears
You don't mind or care
You're my truest love
My teddy bear

i love this poem. its exactly how my stuffies make me feel and how i remember them from childhood. perfect for a children's book. you should try publishing it again.
