In the garden, your advent I await
For night’s blanket to pull across the sky
United once again, this wondrous fate
Though light-years apart, I feel so close by
Celestial lover we meet once more
Hours without you, an eternity
By day I long for you, my heart is sore
In this, our love, there’s no uncertainty
My hands reach out, as if we are to touch
Wishing this brief moment of night could last
I offer you my heart, though it’s not much
I am who I am, no matter my past
Love runneth over to those down below
May it bring peace, this love we bestow

- Title: A Sonnet: My Lover, My Night
- Artist: XoStrawberry_ToxicXo
-
Description:
I was asked to write a sonnet for my high school english class and I came up with this. But I didn't hand it in because it was way too good. So I've decided to share it with my fellow Gaians instead! Most of my family and friends think I'm super talented but I'm not so sure if I can see the brilliance as well. Tell me what you think and rate my poem. Thank you :3
