Beauty is such that lies in the Samaritan’s soul.
It grows deeper with the love that he spreads.
The love that breaks ice-hard hearts into shards,
And there in the sinner’s chest forms a heart from the pieces,
A soul that is berry red and like velvet,
It is soft and rich in love and care.
But it can not be penetrated by the sword or by the hate in words,
It remains whole.
And the new Samaritan spreads the warmth of his velvet hearts like a blanket
For those who are cold at night.
The velvet’s beauty is stitched into every thread,
Its kindness into every tassel.
The blanket is as soft as snow and warms the air like a flickering flame.
Through it kindness and love is given to the cold and hungry
And those who are in desperate need of the love in the fabric.
When the blanket covers their shaking bodies and worried brows,
There is serenity and tingling warmth,
For their heart has been transformed into a Samaritan’s soul.
And alas, the first Samaritan does not loose his soul when he gives it to others,
It only gets fuller of honesty, passion, and kindness.
Once the blanket is in the possession of the brand-new Samaritan,
He goes out into the entire world and shares what the older Samaritan has given him,
All through that blanket, that gives the power,
Of the Samaritan soul.
