    They twirl like tiny fairies
    Unique, and joyful when seen
    Though they do not practice
    Or need it
    Elegantly they spin their way down to the barren earth
    Pure, crystalline
    And connect with each other
    To create a beautiful, white blanket
    Embedded with tiny diamonds
    Some snowflakes do not join the others
    But swirl down to kiss the waiting faces of both children
    And adults
    Snowflakes
    Their dancing time is limited
    But their dancing itself is graceful, and welcomed
    Can snowflakes dance?
