The Man Behind The Mask
His mask covers the dreadful,
Twisted scars that coats his face,
The face of an artist, a composer, a genius.
His music hides the pain,
The pain so many people caused,
Tormenting him for those scars.
But when I look at him,
I see something different.
His mask is but a closed door,
Waiting to be opened,
And to show that his deformity,
It is nothing.
And when I look at his face,
I get lost in his eyes.
They show me all his secrets.
The pain is his punjab lasso,
The weapon he uses to kill,
To relive his pain, to avenge the lost love.
The love he hides,
Because no one wants the love-
Of a monster.
I hate the murder and I hate the pain.
But I love his heart,
And the passion he hides
Behind the true mask.
The mask that hides his love,
The mask so many people
Constructed.
Through the laughter and
The screaming, yelling to show their fear.
What they will never know is that they,
They are the monsters,
They are the ones ruining this poor mans life.
He had done nothing before they hurt him.
And now he hurts them,
The ones that hurt him,
And even the ones that didn’t.
I wish they would look past his mask,
And look past his scars.
He doesn’t deserve to be feared,
Tortured,
He deserves to be loved.
