There is no life but that which lives to die
And mortals all could never truly see
the bird which sings was never meant to fly.
It was not truth, but neither did I lie
in saying that you could live happily
There is no life but that which lives to die.
Striking against reason, you would cry
that "Does not hope yet spring eternally?"
The bird which sings was never meant to fly.
Madness burns the prophet's tongue, and I
am burnt by only maddened memories
There is no life but that which lives to die.
Oh, resurrect your heroes, go and try
but time indentures all eventually
There is no life but that which lives to die
And birds that sing were never meant to fly.
