I don’t want to get used to
sitting on rooftops without you.
And the stars shining so bright,
but they’re so dead without you.
I poured my heart and soul out,
but everytime, I got let down.
I have to live with my heart on my sleeve,
and it’s hard because I fall so deep.
Please don’t fail me now,
because I’m breaking, I’m breaking down.
and I still don’t know if you’re worth it.
And I get so hurt easily,
but it’s not my fault can’t you see,
I just don’t know what to believe,
anymore.
So I bite my lip,
and hold back those three short words.
because I don’t want the silence,
and I can’t stand getting hurt.
And it seems like that’s all I do,
Is keep hangin’ on.
I hang on until I see,
that your stars shine just fine,
without me.
