• I guess it’s time to rewrite the book
    As the cover and binding have a different look
    Things have changed over these past days
    The way things look like the words on the page
    The index has been sorted, and the dictionary cleaned
    Nothing is the same as it used to be

    It’s amazing what a few lousy weeks can do
    Now I find myself better off without the people I thought I knew
    I stand tall in all my troubles, facing my fears.
    Nothing can compare to these last few years
    I will take it all head on and I won’t run away
    I will stand firm and face what comes, unafraid

    Bring on Life, you can’t take me down
    So just go ahead and try it, I’ll take you to town
    Nothing controls me or says what I’ll be
    The only one to decide that is the one and only me
    I will go against the river and fight against it’s flow
    Because nothing is going to stop me from getting where I need to go

    Don’t play me like a fool, Don’t even try
    It won’t phase me a bit to leave you behind
    I am too strong to let someone else pull me down
    My wings long for the sky too much to stay on the ground
    If you can’t keep up then get out of way
    I’m not going to wait around if you expect me to stay

    I guess it’s time to rewrite the book
    Because everything in my life has a new look
    Everything all depends on me
    I will be the one to forge my destiny.
