I can’t remember if I was born
A mother and father I have none
I was stacked three moons high
Blessed with button eyes
And a pebble smile
I remember when I first saw my creator
A small boy much shorter than I
He shared his hat and scarf
And smiled warmly
So here I will stand
Tall and proud until spring
And although I smile
I can still feel a stinging sadness
Because one day
It’ll be as if I never was
And I think he’ll miss me
