A woman alone
a wilted daisy
all dressed up
with nowhere to go
A weight so heavy,
not only in body
her eyes are closed,
her lips parted.
As if she were waiting for
it
A party echoes
in the distance
thriving
even without her
Her golden heart
is locked away
the key
forgotten
Her eyes are closed
her mind is open
she breathes nothing
and stirs the air
