Holding On

• Artist: On Frail Wings Of Vanity
• Description: This poem I wrote for a friend of mine, her mother used to beat her/scream and yell, and she was an alcoholic/druggie/pill popper. But last year, her grandmother took custody of her and her mom was put in jail. . . for multiple reasons. Although her mom abused her, she really did love her deep down inside, and I wrote this poem for her.

Pay attention to me
Before I ever go
Listen to my voice
Just so you'll know
Hold me close
Cause I know you care
I love you alot
But its just not fair
I'm never thought of
I'm always second best
What do you think of me?
Just confess
I hate you sometimes
But I'd be lost without you
You don't look at me the same
Like other people do
I'm crying out loud
But you just don't see
Sometimes I don't think you know
Sometimes I don't think you care about me
I want to believe
That you love me for who I am
Cause I'm holding on
As long as I can. . .
