Only good never great
Either too early or too late
I explain away my faults not meet them head on
I hide them and hope that one day they'll just be gone
Only good never great
I love to love but too often hate
I mean no offence but my pride I must defend
Although it seems I often mix them up my friend
Only good never great
Too afraid to leave the gate
I have many fears from spiders to the dark
But most of all I fear failure, the unseen mark
Only good never great
Always trying to clean the slate
I mess up too often, too often do I fall
Why can't we be perfect, without one fault among us all.
Only good never great
Too faithless to blame it all on fate
To others my morals may seem sound
But I never test them for fear they may tumble to the ground
Now I'm almost done so let me reiterate
This poem is only good never great
- Title: Only Good
- Artist: Pitin
- Description: This is a poem that I wrote a LOOOONG time ago so I'm probably a little bit better now. I apologize if my grammar or spelling stinks (which it tends to). I'm also really nervous putting such a deep personal poem on such a public website so please be gentle.
