I stood under a lamppost as rain showered me. I tried to flap my wings, but they were too wet; so I gave up. I sighed and looked down the street. I mumbled under my breath, “What is taking him so long?” I sighed again and pulled my fingers through my long, black and blue hair as I looked into the sky. I squinted as rain pelted my face; I sniffed the air and relaxed. I had always loved the smell of rain… Ever since I was a little girl, I was only let out once a month. Funny thing was, when I was let out, it was always raining. I would stand in the rain, my winging spread out, my whole body soaking wet, until my creator came out yelling, “What are you doing?! someone could see you!” and that, “his creation would get sick”. Then, he would grab me by the arm and drag me back into my cage, as he threw me in and closed the door in my face. He would always say, “Don’t do it again, my Rosalina!”
I bit my lip and sweared under my breath at him for how he treated me, and for making me the way I am; and at myself for remembering. I looked at my watch as the hands ticked towards midnight. I bit my lip. “Where is he?” I yelled, kicking the lamppost.
“Right here,” Lours said in my ear in his deep voice. I gasped and swatted at him. “Did you just return from your mission?” he asked as he pulled me into a big hug. I blushed and pushed him off. “Yes, the mission was a success. Thirteen children and teenagers were freed, 20 scientist are in jail, and 2 laboratories were burned to the ground. I also found some useful information during my infiltration in Germany,” I said. I pulled papers out from the pocket in my skirt and gave them to him. He took them and scanned through the information. He looked at me and ruffed my hair. “Good job Rose. Did you get hurt?” He asked sweetly. I leaned against the lap post. “Nope! I was careful this time Lours. And thank you.” He smiled a bit and kissed my cheek. “I can always rely on you. So how long have you been waiting?” he asked, looking around for people or cars. My eye caught the scar on his collar bone. The memories came rushing back. I bit my lip, shaking my head wildly to stop them. I didn’t want to remember that day… that story is for another rainy day. He glanced at me, slightly puzzled. “Hello?” he asked.
“An hour. It started raining about an hour ago,” I finally answered as I shivered vigorously. Lours sighed and took off his jacket. He wrapped it around me. I tucked in my wings as his popped out. I gasped as his beautiful long raven wings spread out. I turned away and blushed.
“What am I going to do with you? Please… don’t do that again Rose. I don’t want you to get sick.” He said. “Oh, and I’m sorry it took so long, it was raining when I left the hotel, so I couldn’t fly here.” He smiled at me and I forgave him. God… I love it when he smiles. I fall back in love with him every time he smiles at me. I sighed and smiled back at him. “You’re forgiven.” Lours’ smile grew wider; I quickly turned away so he wouldn’t see me blush. “So… what’s todays target?” I asked in a serious tone as we started walking down the street. The sound of my heels clicking softly against the concrete and his shoes squeaking against the ground were only noises I heard other then the soft plopping of rain. Lours pulled a small notebook out of his pocket. “Remedy Laboratory,” he said as he flipped through some more pages. I nodded and said, “Go on.” He flipped through some more pages.
“I spotted multiple animal cages, and machines.” I sweared again, and started walking a little faster.
“So whats our plan of action?” I asked. He smiled and my heart skipped a beat.
“I think it’s your turn to choose this time.” He said. I smiled evilly and stopped abruptly as I looked into the sky. It had stopped raining. I sighed sadly and sniffed his coat then took it off and gave it to him, enjoying the sweet musky smell he had. “Hey Lours… Let’s fly.” I spread my wings out and started flapping them slowly. I looked over my shoulder and Lours was smiling at me. He had this soft loving look in his eyes. He quickly looked away when I caught his eye. I looked away blushing; he cleared his throat and said, “Lets.” We spread our wings out and lifted into the air. Lours’ hand bumped mine, and he tangled our fingers together. I looked at him, a blush slowly creeping across my face. “Hold on tight!” he yelled as he increased his speed, as we soared over the rooftops. I forgot about the mission, and only cared about the warmth of Lours’ hand in mine.

- She bites her lip alot. maybe a little too often. Make sure not to lean into something too much, personally i love when characters have habits like that but not too often

- Thank you, i had writen it before without some of the stuff i added but my page froze i was only able to write down the end. Heres a litttle info- Lours is 22 soon-to-be 23,, rescued her from the burning labratory after seting it afire (nice job dude) and he seems nicer because he loves her back but both don't know that (was in the description before but in ended to long) but when he gets around others he is cold, cut off, careful, and very procetive over Rose; she was freeded at age 14,

- but if she's eighteen and half of that was in a laboratory she would have been doing this for what? Nine years? But they still seem clumsy and disorganized when he showed up late and her asking where he is. You should work on your storyline a bit and make sure that you make it clear that Lours is not her creator but her savior I was confused at first thinking 'Why does she love him? He kept her in a cage! Wait! Not the same person!' had to read it twice to get that. Great potential though wink
