Frightime Hour
Chapter One
There were bolts of lightning and thunder. “Hey! Don’t shove me!” “Hi, I’m Tyler, and I’m going to tell you how my life went from pretty normal, to downright scary. Well, let’s get on with the story. “Hey, I said, don’t shove me!” I complained, as my sister Tabitha shoved me. It was a rainy Saturday and I was stuck in the house and yet my sister continued to shove! I mean come on! I was trying to watch some T.V here! “Hey! Mom please tell Tabitha to stop shoving me,” I said. “Stop shoving your brother Tabitha,” my mom answered. “Tattle, tale!” my sister said. She clearly heard my mom but once again... SHOVE! Why can’t my sister just leave me alone.
On Sunday thankfully, it wasn’t raining. I went to my friend Andrew’s house. He lives right across the street from me. I always go there whenever I can. I did not know I was in for the day that would change my life
Chapter Two
I crossed the street and saw that the door was open so I just walked right in and called, “ANDREW!” “Hi,” Andrew answered and startled me! He always does that.
We went upstairs and played video games for a while until the doorbell rang. “Andrew, are you going to get that?” I asked. “Nah, my mom will get it,” but she didn’t. We heard something go, CLING on Andrew’s bedroom window. Then... the phone rang, and weirdly, it ringing, in Andrew’s room. I went over and picked it up, Hello,” I said in a tiny voice. I heard a hoarse whisper ask “Is there an Andrew in the room?” “Andrew, it’s for you!” Andrew slowly walked to the phone. “Hello?” Andrew said. And then, as we watched in horror the phone lifted into the air and flew out the window.
Then... “Ding-Dong.”
Chapter Three
“Andrew, I think it’s for you,” I said in a scared voice. We both slowly made our way down the stairs to the door. Andrew hid behind me forcing me to open the door. I slowly opened the door... “MOM!” I screamed first with surprisement and then, with anger. It seemed she wanted me to come home. I didn’t want to but finally, I agreed.
When I got home I asked my mom why she wanted me to come home, and she said she just wanted me to come home. I could have just stayed at Andrew’s. My mom always does this kind of stuff.
I went upstairs and I got upstairs I heard a whispering noise. I automatically turned to the closet. It was slightly open. I balled my fist and, WHAM, I hit the door shut with a THUNK. A second later my sister my sister came out of the closet rubbing her forehead. “You hit hard,” she said.
When she left the room I laid on my bed and heard something hit the window with a CLUNCK. I opened the window, stuck my head out, and was pushed out the window.
Chapter Four
It felt like seconds later when I woke up in the emergency room. I saw a bunch of family members standing over me.
My moms eyes were red from crying. “Sweetie? Are you okay?” “Yeah are you okay?” My cousin Taloy asked. “Uhhh,” I groaned. “Yeah I’m okay. Why does my head hurt?” “You landed on it when you fell out the window, how did you fall out the window?” My mom asked. “I don’t remember, it’s all a big blur. I think someone pushed me out.”
Suddenly, a doctor walked in and said, “He should get some more rest.” Moments after that, I fell asleep.
I woke up the next day to an empty room. A nurse walked in with the doctor. “Here, this was in the mail for you,” the doctor said. He handed me an envelope. ”Who send me an envalope?” I wondered. I looked up, and they were gone. I opened the envelope. The letter read:
Dear Tyler,
This might come in handy. I trust you’ll use it wisely.
From,
?????
I looked in the envelope and took out a card. It was titled, “Wish Card.”
Chapter Five
“’Wish Card’? What in the world is a ‘Wish Card’?” I wondered. It had a picture on it of one of those fortune tellers with her hands over one of those blue glass balls.
Later... I laid on my bed for a while when I got home. Then I took out the “Wish Card” from my pocket. It looked very weird.
Tabitha walked in, “Why did you push me out of the window?” I asked furiously. “What?” She asked. “AH! I wish you were never born!” I shouted. Suddenly, the card in my hand shook. I saw that the fortune teller was waving her hands in circles over the the ball. Then, everything went black. I opened my eyes and I was in my bed holding the “Wish Card”. “It must’ve been a dream.” I went downstairs and asked where my sister was. I listened in horror as my mom said something crazy, weird and kind of frightening. She was saying that I never had a sister.
Chapter Six
“What? That can’t be! You know Tabitha! She always bugged me! If this is some kind of joke it isn’t funny!” “Whow whow whow! Are you okay?” My mom asked. “AHHH! Your just crazy!” I said as I stormed up the stairs.
Five hours later I was still in my room. Then I remembered... “THE ‘WISH CARD’!” I took the “Wish Card” out of my pocket and ripped it up, “What did you do to my sister!” I screamed at the card while crying. I ran downstairs and through out the bits, “I hate you! I HATE YOU!” I screamed. I guess it was a good thing my mom went out to get some groceries.
The next day I didn’t want to go to school, I wanted to die. But I was forced to go to school. I was pretty glad I went. It was a really relaxing day. Plus the teacher gave us cookies. When I got home I went upstairs and laying on my bed... was the “Wish Card”.
Chapter Seven
“NO! It can’t be! NOOOOOO!” I screamed in horror. I almost knocked down my dresser. “I go rid of you!” I lifted up the card and under it was a letter, it read:
Dear Tyler,
I am sorry but you can’t get rid of me. I do have Tabitha, but I don’t want to give her back. I trust you with future wishes.
From,
“Wish Card”
I started to cry, and then to plead, “Please give her back!” But sadly, nothing happened.
A few weeks later there was a carnival coming to town. I looked at the sign, and there was the exact same fortune teller as on the “Wish Card”. “NO WAY!” I cried in disbelief. “I AM GOING TO THAT CARNIVAL!” And so I did.
The carnival was packed with people. I walked around for a really long time and then, I saw it, the sign that said, “Madam Wish Card!”
Chapter Eight
I ran right in there and screamed “What did you do to my sister!” “Ah, I was expecting you.” She said calmly. “Just give me my sister and i’m out of here!.” “ I am sorry but, I can’t do that.” She said. “WHY NOT!” I screamed. “Because... she’s in here.” She said while pointing to her crystal ball. I ran over to it and looked at it hard... and I saw my sister! Besides the fact it was my sister, it was actually pretty cool.
I looked under the table, but saw nothing. “How did she get in THERE!” “I cannot tell you that.” “Well... what can you tell me?”
“Nothing”
“Okay,” I said, “but, I have one question, why, ddid you give this “Wish Card” to ME?” “I cannot tell you, but I can give you a hint, you can wish for anything with that card.”
“Anything?”... and she was gone, and I found myself, at home.
That night I was thinking about what the fortune teller had said, “You can wish for anything with that card.” And then, I had an idea.
Chapter Nine
The next day at school, I brought my “Wish Card”. The whole day I couldn't wait until recess.
At recess I got in a real big fight with Andrew. “Why did you steal my POKEMON CARD?” He screamed
“I didn’t!” I protested.
“Yes you did!” He accused.
“You know what, I wish you were never born!”
“Suddenly my pocket shook, I knew what would happen next. “NOOOO!” I screamed, and everything went black.
I woke up in my chair, at school. When I got home I went straight upstairs and took out the “Wish Card”. “I have one more wish,” I said with a grin. “I wish I never had anything to do with you!”
Chapter Ten
Everything went black, and then, I was back home, on Saturday, my sister SHOVING me! But I was happy, it was all over. So that’s my story. I sure hope you enjoyed it, and if you have a “Wish Card”, do you what I did (The LAST wish)!
