• "CAPTAIN AMERICA!," Peter squealed, everyone, well almost every, had crowded around him, asking him questions about his job, and his shield. Vanessa just stood there, watching them go gaga over him, "there's nothing special about this guy, " Vanessa said while crossing her arms,a very over dramatic gasp echoed through the ship, she rolled her eyes, Peter quickly came over towards her, "not special!! What???," he turns her over in Captain America who made his way over towards her, along with everyone else, "so you're the new recruit Fury had been telling me about," she raised an eyebrow, "wait! What? Fury's been telling you about her? What does she have that we don't?!," Spider Man said, a nice quick slap to the back of the head confirmed her irritation, "I'm right here web head," Captain America simply smiles. Scarlet X placed her hand out, "let me see your shield," everyone gasped, including Coulson, "Scarlet X, that is not a way to ask for some.... thing....!!," Captain America took his shield from his back and hands it to her, "hold on a second! She gets to hold it before me?," Spider Man got between the two, " Scarlet X, you're just going to have to wait your turn like the rest of us," Scarlet X placed her hand on Spider Mans head and pushed him aside, "move it spider boy," she takes hold of his shield, it was very light, "can I throw this?," she asked, but he disagreed, "I'm sorry, but that shield isn't- -?," but he was cut off, "wrong answer," she throws the shield anyway, "Vanessa! Are you insane?!," but she simply ignored him, her eyes set on he deadly weapon bouncing off of things until it finally came back at her, but much faster, but instead of ducking she ran forwards, jumped up and placed her arm through the straps on the shield.

    Everyone stood back up, "I'm alive!," Nova said before hugging himself, Iron Fist helps White Tiger up, "a warning would have been nice," she said while dusting herself off, "yeah, that thing could have put us out like a light," Power Man said, Iron Fist looked in Scarlet's direction, "an unwise choice," but Spider Man thought otherwise, "did you see that! She was all like wrong answer, and then we were all like, AAAHH!!! But did you see the way Scarlet caught it!," Ava rolled her eyes, "if we did I don't think we would be hear to tell about it." Captain America walked towards her, "I knew it wasn't a toy from the moment you placed it in my hands, I'm no child, I know what I'm doing," she hands it back to him, for a few seconds there was only silence, then he smiled, "not bad, maybe one day this will be yours," Coulson gasped, "what?," the word coming out in a whisper, "heh, we'll just have to wait until that day comes old man, but until then I'm happy with the weapon I already have," Captain America crossed his arms, "we should get going Captain," Coulson said before straightening up his neck tie, "well I hope to see you all again, as full fledged Avengers," Scarlet X grins, "wait! Captain America, I didn't get to hold the shield!!," Vanessa took off her mask, her hair a bit messy, "I apologize, for putting you guys in danger, like Ava said I should have gave you guys at least a warning first, but still I shouldn't have done it," Danny took a few steps towards her before placing his hand upon her shoulder, "all is forgiven," Ava was about to say something, that is until a loud crashing sound reached their ears, "DUCK!," they all duck, avoiding the shield, then another crash, "aw man! I'll get it!," Spider Man said before jumping out the broken window, "what a complete moron," Ava said, "I agree...," Vanessa said before laughing softly, what a day.
