• It was a dark stormy night and Kai had just arrived in Germany.He was on the search for demons by the name of Dark Crest Shadow Beasts,Darkes for short.The task had been given to him by the Lord of EckRain Ryuu,EckRain is the continent of the Water Shadow Kingdom.The Darkes had once been peaceful creatures but that changed when a strange crystal dropped into their territory and they changed into horrifying creatures.Kai pulled his hood up as he ran through the streets.He stopped when he came to the hotel he was going to be staying at.He pushed open the revolving doors and stepped into a luxurious looking lobby.He strode over to the check in desk and looked at the woman behind it. "Do you have a reservation sir?"Asked the woman."Yes i do,Kai Von Storm"The woman grabbed the guest book that was underneath the counter and began looking through it."Ah yes here you are"The woman grabbed a key and handed it to Kai."Your room number is thirteen,on the first floor"Kai nodded his head in thanks and took the key from her."Lucky thirteen"Kai said sarcasticly.The woman giggled lightly.Kai headed up to his room and plopped down on the bed.All of a sudden a blue ball of light floated out of Kai.Kai stared at the ball of a light for a few seconds before it spoke all of a sudden."I see you made it to Germany in one piece"Said the ball of light in a gentle tone.Kai layed back on the bed staring up at the ceiling."Of course i did,was there any reason that i wouldn't?"Kai asked as he turned his gaze to the ball of light that was actually his father Ryuu in spirit form.Ryuu chuckled."Of course not,i know how capable you are"Kai smiled slightly,he rarely ever smiled.His father has been the only person to ever do it."You should get some sleep,i know you've been restless for the past few days and haven't gotten much sleep"Replied Ryuu in a slightly stern tone.Kai let out a sigh."Fine"Ryuu chuckled before slowly fading away.Kai pulled his clothes off then crawled underneath the covers on his bed and went to sleep.

    The next morning Kai awoke to the sound of a window shattering.Kai rubbed his eyes as he sat up.His gaze met the tip of a spear."What do you want now Fen?"Kai asked before yawning.Fen pulled his spear away slightly."To challenge you of course why else would i be here"replied Fen as he gazed down at Kai.Fen had long greyish hair pulled back in a high ponytail.as for his clothes he wore a black open jacket paired with gray gloves along with gray shorts that reached his knees.Kai let out a sigh and pushed the spear away."Could you get off my bed please,your annoying me"Fen glared at Kai slightly but stepped off his bed."Now get out of my room"Kai replied in an annoyed tone.Fen smirked."Nope not a chance,you won't get rid of me that easily!"Kai let out an annoyed sigh as he got out of bed and got dressed.He then left his room and went down to the hotel lobby,leaving the hotel.Fen followed behind him."Where you going?"Kai rolled his eyes."I'm going to a cafe to get some breakfast and if you insist on following me you can treat"Fen burst out laughing."In your dreams,maybe if you were a pretty girl i would consider treating you"Kai just rolled his eyes as he walked into the cafe.As he was walking in a girl dressed in a waitress uniform approached Kai and Fen,moaning in an odd way.Fen looked at her oddly."Is she tripped up on something?Looks like it to me"Kai ignored Fen's comment and looked at the girl."Are you all right?"The girl let out a piercing shriek as she grabbed a knife off a nearby table and stabbed Kai in the shoulder with it.Kai winced in pain as he staggered back.Fen knocked the girl back with the hilt of his lance.The girl let out a screech as a black magic circle surrounded her and she transformed into a large black grotesque beast with black tentacles wrigglng on her back."I figured she was a darke...."All of a sudden more darkes appeared from the kitchen of the cafe,all in the same grotesque form.

    Kai pulled out the sword at his waist from its sheath and thrusted it deep into the darke's chest.The darke let out a screech of pain as it bursted into a million tiny particles.The Darke hadn't been killed its soul was sent to a healing realm to return it to normal.The other Darkes leaped onto the counter of the front bar and screeched loudly.Fen held his lance in front of him.A red aura surrounded it and he swung it vertically a wave of energy releasing from his lance and taking down all the darkes in one stroke.They burst into particles as well"That should be all of them,at least in here"Kai sheathed his sword and walked out of the cafe holding his bleeding shoulder.Fen followed after Kai."So what's your next move gonna be?"Kai looked to Fen."I sensed a strange presance while we were near the cafe,i think there's someone here pulling the strings"Fen looked at Kai."And who would this someone be?"Kai looked down at the ground,clenching his fist."I don't know yet but i will find them"Fen brought his hand to his chin."Well your on your own i got things to do"Fen placed his two fingers in his mouth whistling loudly.A red demon bird with black wings and a black beak flew down from the sky and landed in front of Fen.Fen hopped onto the bird."I'll kick your a** next time i see ya"With that the demon bird flew off into the sky,leaving Kai by himself on the deserted street.Kai clenched his fist tight before punching a wall of a nearby building,truth is he knew exactly who was pulling the strings.He wished it wasn't that person he knew so well though.Kai pulled his bloodied fist away from the wall then headed back to the hotel to wait till nightfall,when he would approach the all to familiar presence he sensed.

    When nightfall finally came around Kai strapped his sword to his hip,grabbed some barrier talismans to be on the safe side and neatly tucked them into the pocket on his jacket.Then he left the hotel and headed to where he sensed the presence.When he arrived at his destination he was at a closed down graveyard.Kai looked up at the rusted gate before pushing it open.He heard a soothing voice upon entering the graveyard.The voice belonged to a girl with long blue hair,her bangs swept to the left covering her eye.She stopped singing and looked over to Kai."Your the one i saw at the cafe this morning"Kai nodded his head as he slowly approached the girl.She looked at him intently"Who are you and what have you done with my sister?"The girl simply chuckled."Why I'm right here dear brother"Kai narrowed his eyes into a glare."Don't lie....your not Kailee,you have no essence of life in you.Your just a copy aren't you?"The girl just stared at Kai before chanting something under her breath."Meiska Kitsune"A blue magic circle adorned with white appeared in front of her."Yes i am but Doll is the appropiate term,you may call me Azure"Kai formed the same type of magic circle that Azure had."Where is Kailee?"Azure smirked."She's with my master in his castle"A two headed dragon rose out of the circle and snarled at Azure.It let out a loud roar before slamming into Azure sending her flying.Azure caught the edge of a gravestone with her hand as she flew back to stop herself then flipped over and landed on her feet."Hm i shouldn't underestimate you obviously....”Water floated out of the magic circle and slowly took the form of a large fox.The fox's tail grew larger and it swung at Kai.Kai managed to dodge it by ducking then ran at Azure.Kai leaned down as he ran and grabbed a hidden dagger that was strapped to his leg under his pants.

    He attempted to stab Kailee in the arm but she blocked it with the mini shield that was attached to her arm."release"Azure said under her breath.Her fox leapt off the magic circle and leapt onto Kai.It bit Kai on the arm.Kai winced in pain then stabbed the fox with his dagger.The fox let out a yelp and jumped back.It lifted its paw and licked where it had been stabbed.Kai got up to his feet,holding his injured arm,which was bleeding from the bite mark the fox gave him."Release"Kai's dragon leaped from the magic circle that had just moments ago bound him and jumped onto Azure's fox.It bit down on the fox's shoulder.The fox yelped in pain and tried to shake the dragon off.Azure conjured another magic circle.A large bladed sword,with black accents over the blade rose from the magic circle.Azure grabbed it by the hilt and ran at Kai.Kai pulled his sword from the sheath that was at his waist with his good arm.He couldn't move his other arm due to Azure's fox,when it bit him it paralyzed his arm.Kai was about to run at Azure when all off a sudden he fell to his knees gripping his arm in pain."N-no...."A five pointed star appeared over Kai's eye.Azure stopped in her tracks and giggled."Your as good as dead now,the virus from my fox has infected you.I'd give you the antidote,oh but i'm the bad guy so that won't be happenening"Azure laughed as she lifted her sword from its perch on the ground and ran at Kai again.Kai winced in pain,he couldn't move at all due to the infection,was this really the end for him?

    Kai stared down Azure's blade just as it was about to strike him when all of a sudden,a blue haired figure wearing a long black and blue robe jumped in front of Kai,shielding him from Azure's attack with a black and blue curved blade that protruded from his arm.Azure pulled her sword back,jumping away from the man.Kai looked at the man,his eyes clouded over and gray."Ryuu..."Ryuu looked back at Kai."I'll take care of her,then we can go back to EckRain and get you fixed up"Kai nodded lightly.Azure giggled."I'm sorry but you won't be doing anything to me,i've been notified by my master so i must take my leave"Ryuu glared at Azure."Who is this master of yours?"Azure smirked at Ryuu,has she commanded her fox to step onto the magicx circle it came from.It slowly faded back into the magic circle."Why that's none of your business"Azure replied before a black magic circle appeared beneath her feet.She bursted into black particles,which were sucked into the circle."Damn her...."Ryuu replied as he picked up Kai from the ground who had passed out due to the infection.He conjured a portal that lead back to EckRain and stepped into it.When they arrived back Ryuu took Kai to his room and kaid him down in his bed.Then he proceeded to his study to try and find a way to cure of the infection that now inhabited his body.
