- Laughing, I pulled myself out of the water, only to slip back in. James, folded in half from laughing to hard, managed to wheeze, "I'll see if i can find something to get you out." Even as he stumbled away, I could hear him giggling. Heaving a sigh, I leaned back against a cool rock. The sun was warm on my face and the water was nice. Closing my eyes, I smiled. A shadow fell across my face and I heard someone snort. "Are you really that tired?" Startled, I opened my eyes to a God's face. A strong jaw framed a handsome face, and light brown hair with golden streaks overshadowed smiling blue eyes. "Yes! I mean, NO!" I stammered, trying to stand up. My foot caught on a rock and I fell forward, but a strong pair of arms caught me. The young man steadied me before letting go. Flipping my hair out of my face, I held out my hand. "I'm Giel." He smiled and grasped my wrist. "Thomas." Behind me came a loud crashing noise. James yanked his wings out from the thorn bush and, grinning, turned to look at me. His smile faded as he saw who I was standing with. "I got a rope." He muttered, holding it up. Laughing, I couldn't help but compare James' Black hair with dark blue eyes, with Thomas' golden brown hair and blue eyes. I pointed at James. "This is James, the one that i'm traveling with." Thomas snorted, "The one that left you in the water?" I looked over at him and was surprised to see an enraged look on his face. Confused, I scratched my head. "Well, yeah." Thomas leaned down to whisper, "And you're seriously traveling with him?" I stared at him. "Yeah, should I not?" He shrugged and crossed his arms. "I guess you could, but I'd feel better if you were with someone more... well, more." James spoke up from behind. "You know, i'm not deaf here!" Thomas laughed and ruffled my hair. "Oh well. Looks like you're stuck with him for now. Maybe we'll see each other later?" I waved at him when he walked away. As soon as he was away, James turned on me. "WHO WAS THAT!" Startled, I stammered, "It was Thomas..." James huffed and glared at me. "And what was he doing here?" I growled and turned away. "While you were looking for rope, HE was being a gentleman and helping me out of the water."
