• Rondus awoke in a strange area, his blood warm, his skin rather cold. His vision was blurry and he could not see much. The only colors he could see were green and black. His vision soon adjusted with a weird *wrrrrrrK!* noise. He looked around, he was in a vat submerged in some weird liquid. He put his hands on the bars around the inside of the tube and pushed himself upwards knowing that the top was open on it. He put his feet on the walls and used them to assist him in getting out. He finally managed to get out. He pulled the weird cables off him and walked off when he felt something pull on his leg. He felt his heart skip a beat. He looked down slowly, he couldn't see anything. The space he was in was pitch black, and the only light was a green light coming from the vat. He decided to ignore it as he decided to walk off. He tried and tried, but the pull on him would not stop. He finally kneeled over to his left leg where the pull was and felt a cable. "HA HA HA! Wow, I was concerned over a cable stuck on my leg." thought Rondus. He tried to yank it off but it would not budge. He continued to pull and pull, but nothing happened. He soon decided to rip it out. He ripped it, and fell to the floor. The pain from his leg was unimaginable. So much pain, that he could not move, nor scream or shiver, he just layed there. After 20 minutes the pain from his leg numbed up and he climbed up. "Oh man, what was that?" thought Rondus. He rubbed the back of his leg where the cable has been, and noticed the hole where the cable was. It was more like a tube going into a specific area than a cable supplying his body with nutrients. He felt deeper into the wound, when a sharp pain struck him. He yelled, and pulled his finger out. He shivered, he had jost awoken and he was suffering the worst of pain. He noticed, he had just awoken for the very first time. He knew of nothing that came before that. In fact, the only thing he knew was how to walk, and how to speak the English language. He walked off, and slipped in a liquid, he barely caught a table before he hit the ground. He pulled himself up and examined the liquid, assuming it was from his vat. " Scanning: Human nutrient supply liquid found." "WHO SAID THAT?" said Rondus. He thought about something, "Human nutrient supply liquid... blood...BLOOD?!". He quickly wiped his hands off, half paralyzed by the thought of blood being on his fingers. There were still so many questions to be answered, "Who am I?" "Where am I?" "Was there a bad accident or murder here?". He sat down, confused. This was how life felt, and he was hating it so far. Then, in the almost corner of his eye, he caught something. Something that looked like an icon. He shivered as he noticed these were all over his field of vision. One said "Multi-Vision", one said "Diagnostic", and one said "Other options". He thought, pondering an obvious thought, which he already knew the answer to. "Am I a machine?". He stood up, clutched his head and yelled th question aloud, "AM I A MACHINE?!". He didn't want this, he wanted to be a living breathing organism, not a metallic freak. He collapsed as he accepted the truth. He was a machine, an Artificial Inteligence Unit. He was kept in that vat to maintain any human functions, he was also in a research facility. Most of his previous questions had been answered, but the answers to them opened up whole new ones. "Why do I have human functions?", "Where is this facility located?", "Why is there blood on the floor?", "Why can't I see anything?". He felt something gently touch his right arm. He jerked his head over to see nothing, of course, yet that touch calmed him, as it moved along his arm. It stopped, as weirdly the creature he could barely see was now hissing. "Hello?" he said. It backed up, and Rondus felt something go through his chest, all the way through. His vision then flashed between reality and what looked like a fuzzy TV screen as the message "MINOR FRACTURE THROUGH CENTRAL TORSO AREA DETECTED!!!" flashed on and off in his top field of vision.
