Tragic Love
She watched with wide, round eyes as the body of her brother began to fall back. Everything moved in slow motion in her eyes. As he fell his hair flew forward, hands limp by his side, eyes widening before sliding shut seconds before he hit the floor with a loud thud.
Silence.
She stared, stared, and continued to stare with the racing beating of her heart pounding in her ears.
With a horrofied screech she ran forward and fell to her knees near her brothers bloody inert form. Calling out his name she shook him, tears spilling from her eyes.
With her attention directed on the fallen boy, the figure with the gun smirked as he lowered his arm, the smirk faltering slightly upon seeing the girls distraught form shaking badly as she sobbed while holding her brothers hand.
Without a word he turned and left silently.
The girl took no notice of this, too heart wrenched to have her brother gone. To think they'd been having such a wonderful day, going to the theme park, something they haden't done in ages, and just plainly laughed together freely talking about anything and everything and now...now he was gone.
She lowered her head and screamed out her frustration. Why did God hate them so much? Just when everything was going back to normal. Why? Did they do something wrong?
She stayed like that for what seemed like forever; laying on the blood drenched ground hugging her brother, tears still rolling down her cheeks non-stop.
When she heard footsteps she shot up, dreading who it might be, only to face the police. She kicked, wailed and screamed when they pulled her away from her brother's form, claiming that the ambulance had to take him away.
But they couldn't! They just couldn't! This was her brother, she wasn't going to let him go, ever.
She continued to fight until they knocked her out with an injection they shoved in her arm. When she awoke she was inside a hospital room, the memories rushing back after blinking a few times to chase away the sleep.
Turning to her side, she continued to cry, hands fisting in the sheets. Right then and there she decided one very important thing. With that in mind, she stood from the bed and looked around. Walking to the window, she looked up at the sky then down at the ground.
Opening the window she breathed in deeply to breath int he fresh, cool air. Looking back down she noticed she was in the fourth floor. With a heartbreakingly sad smile, she pushed herself up on the windows edge, looked back to the sky, smiled, and jumped.
Screams erupted from passing people, but she didn't hear. All she heard was the voice of her brother asking her if she was alright. Seconds before she smacked against the cemented floor, she responded with a small "yes."
Her life ended there and then.
The horrific sight of her brains and blood splattered to the side haunted people for months, and the mere truth of both herself and her brother being gone destroyed their families lives.
However, one thing was certain. The two siblings never loved anyone more than they loved each other and, despite how wrong it sounded,
it was right.
