My heart thumped heavily in my chest. We had met last night and love spread across my body in our first moments.
"Freedom?!" A male voice called out.
"Adrian!" I cried running towards his voice.
He grabbed me out of my run, and placed a kiss lightly on my lips.
"I love you." I whispered.
"As I to you, my mistress." Adrian said.
"What does that mean?" I asked quietly.
"I love you too." He explained.
"Oh." I whispered a blush slowly making its way across my face.
"Hold on tight." he said into my ear. Then he turned around, slung me on his back, and I hung on as tight as my muscles would allow.
He jumped up and went from tree to tree. After five minutes we were in the middle of the forest that was next to our little town in Montana.
He landed onto a branch and set me down.
"That was......amazing." i breathed.
"Why hello, Adrian." someone said across our branch. I turned and saw another vampire. His Hair was blond, eyes blue, and skin as pale as milk, and of course pearly white fangs that sparkled in the moonlight.
"Get behind me." Adrian murmured, but our branch was so thin I couldn't move with out falling.
"I can't." i whispered back.
"Then don't move." he growled his fangs growing and curving like a cat's. I was instantly afraid, because he looked absolutely frightening.
"Aw.....Adrian, why are you trying again. I mean last time didn't work, with your little Juliet." the new vampire smirked, and Adrian's face tightened.
"What does he mean." my voice accusing.
"Nothing." he muttered.
"Tell me!" I shrieked.
"You'd better spill. She might not hold on much longer." the vampire said.
"Vlad, you stay out of this!" Adrian ordered.
"Make me. I'm sorry you must see our quarrel lady Juliet." Vlad apologized.
"My name is Freedom." i ground my teeth.
"Well it was Juliet." Vlad insisted.
"Vlad." Adrian's voice was so frightening i just had to flinch.
"Well I came here to do a job and I need to get it done. It wasn't fair that your love came back and not mine so I've decided to create your grief, thus shrinking my own." Vlad said walking towards us.
"What do you mean?" Adrian asked.
"You lost her once and now you have to lose her again." Vlad said flatly. Then chaos was born.
Adrian yelled and tried to protect me, but Vlad was too fast. He got to me first. I was flung off the branch. Screaming I made my way down to the ground while trying to grasp something that could break my fall.
The next thing I knew my back was arched, and such pain entered my heart. A pain I'd never imagined before.
"Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"Adrian's strangled cry came from right beside me. "Jessabell!!!" He yelled.
"What?" a female asked. "Oh." she whispered.
"Adrian?" i asked reaching around blindly, because my vision was red. As red as my blood. I heard a faint laugh from the distance.
"What my love?" Adrian asked grasping my hand.
"I just want to hold your hand." i replied the pain was growing not spreading.
"I'm going to kill him!" Adrian vowed.
"Can you promise me something?" i asked.
"Anything for you."
"Please don't hurt him." i pleaded.
"Yes, anything." he whispered.
"One more thing." i said.
"What is it?" his voice pleaded for me to hang on.
"Please don't kill anyone ever again." i didn't know why that was so important to me, but it just was.
"I have never killed since you last died." he confessed.
I sighed, a peaceful sigh.
"She's almost gone." Jessabell whispered.
"No." Adrian pleaded.
"I love you." i whispered looking up and the tallest tree branch which was the last thing i stood on.
"As I to you, my mistress." Adrian said.
Then all went dark. I was standing over a girl who's hair was red as the blood that surrounded her, eyes the color of sapphire, and skin white and glowing in the moonlight.
There was a man by her clutching her hand to his heart begging for a pulse to come through her wrist.
I looked at the blood red moon, as soon as it started to rain. "I'll wait for you." i vowed to the man who stole my heart just twenty four hours ago.
The night I died it rained my blood. The night I died I found out I was Juliet once. The night I died I was in love. The night I died my heart was stolen from me, and from another man.
