"Did I kill 'er boss?"
A very soft mew came after the question and loud purring started up.
"No Rabia."
This voice was soft and quiet. If it could be called a voice. I rolled over and groaned. Something yelped and snickering followed.
"That ain't funny Mace."
Another yowl.
"Whatdidyadothatfor?"
The yonker-accented Rabia was talking low and fast. The calm and well spoken one I couldn't hear.
"I swatted you because my name is Macon. You're lucky that I let you call me Macy. Such a disgraceful name for a leader."
Both voices were female. That thought got through the confusion in my head. I opened my eyes to see a prim slender white cat with black tipped ears sitting on my chest. To the side was a sulking chubby orange and white tabby with a little bit of blood on her ear. Both blinked in unison.
"Hello clumsy one."
The white cat, I assumed to be Macy, spoke up. I yelled and gave a swipe. Macy lept off my chest and landed gracefully next to Rabia. Both gave a tilt of their head. It was all so weird, having cats talk and all I lounged towards anything out of adrenaline. The one called Rabia turned her head to face Macy.
"I should have killed dis one eh boss?"
Macy swatted and a solid clunk came from Rabia's head. She yowled and doubled over. Trembled I moved my head behind me, trying to find a weapon to kill these freaks with. I ended up feeling the paw of another cat, then I felt the sting of claws. I gave a sob and pulled my head back. A pure black colored cat reappeared from out of the shadows.
"I don't approve of that Logan."
Macy said in a soft hiss. I back up as far as I could go, hitting the wall with my head. The three cats surrounded me. I grabbed a loose screw and hurled it at the black cat. It hit him, drawing blood. He gave me a curious look.
"I can't die. Why try to kill me?"
I curled up in a tiny ball, vibrating now from fear and disbelief. It was all too much. I sobbed into my elbow and didn't look back up.
"Let's leave her alone for a bit. She's got a lot to think about."
The one named Macy stood up and slunk off into the shadows, Logan leaping up onto the arm of a theaters chair and bouncing off into the darkness. Rabia sighed and waddled off as fast as she could go.
"Help."
"Help."
"Help."
I whispered into the darkness.
