Bronze city; The city of rebirth. Technology has ceased to work, everything has been reverted to steam machinery, the city simple compared to those of the past. Today is the Tournament for the Bronze Award, an annual award given to the winner overall. The arena is dark, except for the lights on the support beams in the stands, and the semi-glow of the protective shielding around the arena. The arena is sparsely decorated, with a dirt floor, dark red with spilled blood from the competitors, solid bronze walls, with dents, claw marks, and many other marks into them, discolored with time. The crowd cheers loudly as they watch the two contestants enter the arena, knowing that this was either going to end with submission, or KO.
Mizu stands at one end of the arena, the imperial demon, suited fully armed in his armour, gold and red his colours of choice. He throws his large gold jacket to the side, showing his form completely, dramatically. He stands tall, tanned, blonde with green eyes, muscular yet slim. He stands prepared, wearing skin tight material of gold, and gloves and boots of meshed gold material, with rubber grip to it, the back of his gloves embroidered with a red diamond, and baggy but endurant looking mesh pants, gold with a red stripe at the bottom of the legs, and a knife proof vest, and two sheaths on his back, holding two dulled down cutlass weapons, and a chain mesh arm piece, protective. A long gold tail is wrapped around his waist, hidden in plain sight. He squats down slightly, and draws one of the cutlasses, holding it nimbly as he bounces back and forth on his toes, side to side, evasively, keeping a calm face and a close eye.
The other corner stands Cheino, the master of chains, the crowd pleaser, taller and more built than Mizu over all, a hulk of muscle, grey skinned and wrapped from head to toe in chain. Around him living vines of chains, shackles and dull balls on the ends of them, lift, swaying back and forth like snakes preparing for a strike. He wears nothing more than a pair of dark shorts to hide himself, but then again, what did he care what others thought. Cheino smirks wildly, and grabs one of the chains, swinging it around, prepared to swing at his competitor for any moves that he dared make.
The referee, decked in heavy plate armour wielding large shields, walks to the center of the arena, and nods to the two of them with his helmet, sure that they both knew the rules. He then raises his arms, and the excited crowd begins to quail, the tension in the room becoming thick. He walks backwards, and inhales deeply, then shouts in a deep, bellowing voice. "THE FINALS FOR THE GEAR CUP IS HERE!! READY!? FIGHT!!!" He then sits down on his seat, on the edge of the arena.
Mizu takes a step forward, then thrusts his body at the larger enemy, sprinting forward daringly, studying Cheino's moves.
Cheino smirks, then throws the chain at Mizu, straightforward attack, simplistic.
Mizu grunts and simply sidesteps in his rush, avoiding the attack nimbly as he grips his scimitar with both hands, knowing he was closing in fast..
Cheino laughs at this, and then jerks his arm back, pulling the chain launched back to him, swinging it around to hit the enemy.
Mizu gives a questioning look at his move then his eyes widen as he realizes that the chain was coming right back to him, and he looks backwards as he runs. 'Gotta time this just right..' He thinks, rushing forward more, building momentum. He then launches himself into a back flip, eyes open and watching the chain, time seeming to go slow as the metal passes by. Clink, clink clink, is all he can barely hear over the rush of the wind in his ears as he flips. He lands to one foot, knowing the momentum is still pulling him, leaning forward and continuing the rush.
Cheino growls, then slings both his arms forward, launching the chains attached to them forward like a cat o' nine tails, thrashing about recklessly to hit the competitor, growling angrily at the agility that was used to evade his first attack.
Mizu first jumps to the side as a group of the chains lash at him, only to be hit by another group, causing him to yelp in pain, then stumble to his side, following the path of the chains, only to be lashed by the other group, slowing him down dangerously.
The crowd cheers loudly, believing the fight was about to end, then they could gossip of the reigning champion and the cocky newcomer.
Cheino grins more and then rushes forward, clutching his fist tightly, then roars as he throws his fist forward, a jack hammer thrust.
Mizu spots the fist barely, and puts his arms up in defense, dropping his weapon as he does. He feels the brunt of the attack, feeling his arms pop back against his face, and his feet lift from the ground, breaking any security he had.
Cheino laughs in a dominate fashion, and pulls back his other fist. The chains wrap around his arms, adding weight the already existent war hammer of a fist, and launches a dangerous attack, momentum like a train at Mizu's belly, launching him into the air. He watches the demon fly without any wings, then pats his hands together, as if finished.
Mizu feels the wind forced from him and releases his cutlass, feeling his body go numb, limp, unresponsive as he is launched into the air. He felt like a ragdoll, thrown across the room, discarded, until he hits the barrier, and bounces off. His body instantly catches up with his mind, barely before the ground hits him, or vice versa.
The Referee sighs and stands, becoming bored of these fights, Cheino constantly standing over all. With an impenetrable defense, a huge attack, plus the animated chains, who could ever win.
Cheino laughs and turns, thrusting his arms into the air, roaring victoriously as his chains raise up and begin to rattle loudly. The crowd screams happily, applauding, all they wanted was the thrill of the fight, nomatter who won..
Mizu reaches to his back, and clutches his second sword's handle from his back, getting to his knees, then kneeling quietly, preparing. He then leans forward, putting one hand to the ground, then throws himself forward, dashing rampantly to Cheino again.
The Ref looks surprised at the recovering warrior, coming back to his feet, then sits back again, waiting to see if this fight would be interesting.
Cheino notes gasps from the crowd, and a slight quieting down, and then takes the hint, turning quickly, impatently. His eyes then widen as he sees the other warrior up again after such an atomic attack, and he slings one arm around, slinging the chains at Mizu. The trick worked once..
Mizu sprints faster to reaction, then leaps into the air, not even close enough to land a hit, but heroically he does, with a strange aura of gold beginning to glow around his figure. As the chains fly at him, he smirks, and a jet of gold energy pulses from his back and feet, shooting him up above the whiplash attack, and he grips the sword tightly.
The crowd gasps as they see this new development, though some begin to cheer louder, this was a fight of heroes. The Referee even gave up his bored attitude to be immersed into the fight.
Cheino's eyes widen and he begins to thrash his arms wildly, the chains flailing about the cuffs snapping loudly and the metal screaming as it is tossed about.
Mizu finally lands, mounting his feet on the shoulders of the gigantic Cheino, then immediately takes a hard swing, bashing the giganto on his brow. After this strike, he thrusts himself back, to the ground, back to his first weapon.
Cheino cries out as he is hit, and smacks his hand to his forehead, attempting to hit Mizu, only succeeding to knock himself, stumbling backwards. He growls, then reaches a hand at Mizu, and a cuff chain strikes outwards, hissing as it's jaws widen.
Mizu grabs the weapon that he had dropped earlier, and clutches both, and prepares to leap back at the gigantic enemy, only for the chain to snap to his ankle.
Cheino growls and yanks his arm back, slinging the re-equipped Mizu at his body, about to jack hammer him once again, only this time, it would be paddle ball style.
Mizu creates another pulse of energy launching him faster, to an angle, around the brute's head, and he immediately double bashes the spine of the gray giant.
Cheino yells out, though the chains cross crossing his back take the brunt of the damage, and his swing goes to the side, jerking the connecting warrior off of his back.
Mizu feels the force pulling him away, and grunts as he is slung back, like a toy by a child, and he quickly recovers, launching back at the larger one, wrapping the long chain he is held with around the other's arms, then strikes the warrior again as he reaches his chest, aiming to his neck.
The crowd gasps, seeing a tournament champion being taken down almost like child play.Cheino coughs at the attack, and gasps, wincing, struggling at the chain that binds him as the other chains immediately swing at Mizu.
The crowd grows quiet as Mizu growls, knowing this was either the end of him or the end of the enemy, so he raises both blades above his head, and immediately, a radiant burst of gold energy consumes him, then concentrates to his blades and arms. He then roars loudly, as if enraged as he drops a guillotine strike down onto the enemy, swinging both blades down with such power almost impossible to his size, straight to the top of his head.
Cheino's eyes widen and he seems to twitch, and all of the chains sling out stiff, b ut then his eyelids relax, falling over his eyes as all chains fall loosely, Mizu's restraint falling off, and then the giganto falls to his knees, then to his side.
Mizu lands to his feet nimbly, and sheathes both swords, and looks up at the crowd. "The end." The demon states, and looks at the Referee.
The Ref meanwhilst had been at the edge of his seat, and he leaps to his feet instantly. "ROUND DONE! THE CHAMPION IS MIAZU RAJA RAKAHASI OF BLISS!" The crowd cheers loudly at the show they had just witnessed, though some jeer and yell disgustedly , but then again, you can't satisfy everyone.
Mizu raises his arms above him victoriously, smiling, but then walks back to the bunker, finding the crowd's roar far more addictive than needed, besides, the money was waiting for him..
