• Chapter 1
    England 1313

A battle rages over a piece of land that included a
mysterious forest that everyone called the blood forest for people
have been found dead by the forest or have never been seen
again. The villagers feared the forest for no one knew what
curse was on it. The leaves and trees were always black.
Neighboring kingdoms wanted to own the forest in hopes of
finding away to stop the evil that lives within.
Prince Mason was handsome with his long jet-black hair, stunning
ocean blue eyes and light complexion. He had his father king
Nicolas's looks, only his father had blonde hair and green eyes.
Mason had gotten his hair and eye color from his mother queen
    Mia.
Mason had recently wed his best friend Jesse's sister Mary. Mary was
only a couple years younger than Mason. She had green eyes and
long blonde hair. Jesse cared about his friend but could
careless about his sister Mary. To him Mary was weak. When
somebody got hurt, even if it was somebody everyone hated she
would help them. Jesse with his curly brown hair and blue eyes
didn't think Mary was good for anything.
Mary however was everything to Mason. She cared a lot, took
care of care of people even if she didn't know them and she was
easy to talk to. Mason was getting ready to head out to the battle
field. He moved his jet-black hair out of the was to finish
putting on his armor. When he finished he grabbed his sword
and put it in its sheath. As he was heading to go to the stables
for his horse his father king Nicolas showed up in front of him.
"Why are you doing this to everyone here? Your mother fears you
will not come home and Mary thinks you will lose your life if
you go out there." King Nicolas said hoping his son would listen
    to him.
"I know what they think and they know I am doing it to protect
them and everyone else. I don't want the battle to spread out this
way." Mason said as he entered the stables to see his horse already
    to go.
"But you are also my only son and heir to the throne." the king
    protested.
"I know but you also told me that rather I be a prince or a
king I should protect my people and my family," the prince said as
he mounted his horse," besides I'm just as stubborn as
    you father."
"That you are," the king laughed, "so I believe this means that nothing
will change your mind about going to battle.'
"Nothing will." as he turned his horse towards the opened stable doors.
"Then you better be careful and come home safely." King Nicolas
said as he walked beside the horse outside.
"I will come home safely." Mason said as he rode his horse away
from the castle. Soon the castle was out of sight and a hill
came into view. Mason noticed as he came closer to the hill a
figure was standing by a horse. The closer he got, the more
the person standing there came into view. Mason realized it was
Jesse as he came closer to the top. Jesse greeted his friend
as he brought his horse to a stop beside him.
"You are already heading to the battle field. I figured you would wait
to see if it would settle in a few days." said Jesse.
"No, I just don't want to see it come here in a few days. What
about you, are you heading to the battle field as well?"
    asked Mason.
"I have to take care of a few things with the family. So it will be
a few days before I join you in the battle." said Jesse.
"You've been left with to much work since your father past away
    last year." the prince said.
"Yeah, it has been a little tough but we still managed. I'll see you
at the battle Mason." said Jesse as he mounted his horse and turned
it in the direction of the village.
"Yeah, see you there Jesse." Mason said and he went off into the
direction of the battle which was miles past the blood forest.
Jesse watched his friend leave for the battle. He however gave a
strange smile then left back to the village.

    Chapter 2

    The Blood Forest

At dusk Mason had reached the blood forest. He brought his horse
to a stop. He stood outside of the forest and remembered what was
said about the place. Mason remembered that people who traveled
around the forest never came out alive. Mary and Jesse father
was found half sticking out of the forest. When the guards who
found him pulled him out he looked like a thousand animals had
    attacked him all at once.
Mason dismounted and walked his horse just to the edge and the horse
reared back in fear but stayed with its rider. Mason decided to walk
slowly through the forest in hopes of reaching the other side alive.
Mason managed to get his horse to calm down enough to walk
through the forest. They walked right into the forest and Mason had
a hard time seeing, the forest was so thick it was almost a
pitch black night without stars. When his eyes finally adjusted to the
darkness he seen what looked like a pair of silver eyes looking at him
but were soon gone just as they were seen, but seeing those eyes made
him uneasy and his hopes of getting out of the forest stronger.
He grabbed the rope he brought with him and tied it to a branch so
just in case he got lost he had one way back. He pulled his horse
and they started walking. Mason pulled his horse quickly but quietly,
seeing those eyes had made Mason realize that he wasn't
alone and what ever it was wasn't human but he had never
seen an animal with silver eyes before.
Masons horse stopped and reared back several times. The
prince heard a hissing sound from every direction which
sent his horse running from him. He remembered the rope
and followed it while running. He stopped as he came to the
end of the rope hanging high on a tree branch out of his reach.
Mason noticed the rope he brought was cut and shifted so now he was
lost with something or someone hissing and following him. So he
guessed and ran in the direction he thought was the way out.
The hissing was getting closer and Mason ran right into
an open space. It was the only open space in the forest
but Mason was also trapped, it was night now and he
now was surrounded by more silver eyes in the shadows
along with the hissing. Mason keep his back to the only
tree around him and drew his sword, more silver
eyes appeared and when mason was sure they were going
to attack a loud shrieking sounded and all of the eyes
started disappearing. Mason wasn't sure what was
going on but knew it wasn't a good thing. Mason
was looking around when a strange crunching sound
was coming near him, but there were no leaves on the
ground. Mason held out his sword and was looking to
where the sound could be coming from when he felt
a finger go down the back of his neck, but what
scared most was that the finger felt cold as ice.
Mason jumped and pointed his sword at what looked
like a human but its eyes were black and red.
Mason wasn't sure what it was but it was upside
down with its fingers in the bark of the tree and the
back of its head was touching the spine of its back looking
at him. The creature smiled showing fangs that
were dripping with what looking like fresh blood.
The prince wasn't sure what to do or what he was
up against but knew he had to do something and quick.
So he charged at the creature, but just hit the tree, the
creature had disappeared. A strange laugh started
that was very chilling to the bone when heard
and Mason looked up to see the thing he attack
standing on a branch laughing down at him.
A flash of lighting hit and he was gone, Mason
lowered his sword but when he turned around he was
grabbed by the neck and lifted off the ground and
his sword fell from his hand.
"Looks like I have a strange guest here, yet this one is different,
for no one has ever lasted this long in my forest before.
You will not die but I will make you one of the many here, for
I am Lord Moska, King of all vampires and ruler of the black
    forest." said Moska.
Mason could now see who was talking to him. Lord Moska had
long blood red hair and was very tall. Since the hood was drawn
back his eyes didn't seem to glow red any more but were pure
    black now.
Lord Moska sunk his fangs right into Masons neck causing the
prince to black out, but when he woke up he was alone and he
recollected what had happened. He wondered the forest for
he knew he couldn't go home for he was no longer human.
So he found a cave but he wondered what was happening
with his family and if many was ok. He decided to sleep
in hopes that he could control himself from hurting
    people.
