    “How did it come to be like this? My best friend was murdered, my dad was assassinated when I was eleven years old, I was separated from my lifelong friend, and the love of my life for five years, and yet I can still find happiness in life.”


    “I was kicked out of my own clan… I was kicked out by my own father just because I was different. I did things in my past that I regret. I killed lives of innocent people. But maybe I can find just a little bit of hope left in my stained heart.”

    “My best friend changed. She tried to kill me and my other friends. And just for that I had to try and kill her. I’ve lost both of my parents and had to fend for myself for almost my whole life. I almost lost my own life at one point because of a stupid mistake. But I still have tremendous courage in my soul.”

    Chapter One- Beginning?


    Minako sprinted down the hall with her long blue curls flailing behind her. She took short breaths in between every step. She nearly slid as she tried to stop when she reached a door that had cherry blossoms painted onto it. It was her room. Minako then sprinted into her room and threw herself onto her bed, face first.
    “OH MY GOD!!!” she screamed into her pillow.
    She turned over now laying on her back with tears running down her face but she was smiling and letting out small laughs. She then released a fist she had been holding revealing a small ring that was a sheer blue color, with the illusion that made the color look like satin. She slid it onto her finger as the ring slowly turned into a fuchsia color. She put her hands to her face and let out another laugh. After a few moments she stood up from her bed and reached her arm underneath her bed and pulled out a light blue book with a gold border around it. She then went to her desk and grabbed a pen. She sat back down on the bed and opened up the book to the next blank page. She took a deep breath as her hand quickly scribbled across the blank page.

    Dear Diary,

    He has proposed to me! I nearly fainted, it was only just a few minutes ago! I have so many different feelings right now, words can’t even describe them! Ok so this is how it began. It was me Shizuka, Kakashi, and Ayako. We were all talking and then Kakashi pulled me aside. He put the ring into my hand and just asked to marry me. I literally froze! I felt like fainting right in the spot but I didn’t. I just stood quietly, in shock. I knew that Shizuka and Ayako were probably laughing to each other but I was too much in shock to hear them but it wasn’t all shock, just so many mixed emotions. All I can say is that it all mixed into my stomach. Anyway, Kakashi grabbed my hands and stared straight into my eyes. He said that the ring was once his mother’s ring and she wanted him to pass it on to me. Now I was really freaking out. I finally got hold of my emotions that I smiled. I yelled at the top of my lungs, YES! I could see Kakashi smile under his mask well, at least before I sprinted away! And I did. I kept a fist clutched onto the ring and I’m never going to let go of it. It’s so beautiful. An illusion inside of it makes the colors look like silk. It is a mood ring. It really does change color. Right now it’s almost like a hot pink color, but then fades into other colors. As a result of how crazy I feel right now. Oh I do want to marry him. But I just think of what my mother might say. Will she just say no and get angry or will she be filled with excitement and be so happy? She might say later on because after all I’m only seventeen. But yet I want to be married before I turn twenty. I can’t think of too many things right now or I might have an atomic overload! Our relationship doesn’t feel so awkward anymore, it did for the longest time considering that we’ve been friends since we were both six years old. And both of our worlds changed after we did well…that stuff…But even if we fooled around a bit I still think that I’m ready. I already have fear, excitement, love, and my hand is already getting tired! But even after all that sprinting, here I am. Well, I’m going to quit writing. There is still so much day left, and if anything else epic happens I’ll be sure to write it down.


    Once she was satisfied with her writing she closed the diary and held it to her chest. She was still panting from all of the sprinting. She closed her eyes.
    (I can’t believe this is happening) she thought.
    Minako didn’t realize it but she had drifted off as she had been thinking.


    “Shhh! Don’t wake her up!” whispered a girl with black hair.
    It was Minako’s sister, Ayako. She and Mina were much alike. She shiny black hair that went a little past her shoulders. She had gotten her hair from their father, unlike Minako who had gotten her mother’s unusual, long, blue, curls. Ayako had their mothers eyes, which varied from an olive green color to grey. Mina however had their fathers eyes which were violet. Although they had different physical features they were the same personality wise. They both knew how to make the best of life.
    Following behind Ayako was Shizuka. Shizuka was their best friend. Well at least to Minako. Ayako and Shizuka could stand one another but that’s about it. Shizuka was very carefree and reckless. There was never a time when she didn’t make someone laugh. Shizuka had short brown hair and hazel eyes. She was a cute girl, but was never interested in romance or even having a boyfriend.
    “She’s fine.” Shizuka snapped.
    Minako heard them arguing and was awake. She turned to face them still half asleep. She opened her mouth about to say something but Shizuka and Ayako had already tackled her onto the bed. Shizuka sat on her as Ayako tried pulled her hand to find the ring.
    “Ok talk!” Ayako commanded.
    “Get the hell off of me!” Minako yelled.
    She pushed Shizuka off of her and layed on her stomach with a pillow over her head. Ayako was still grabbing onto her arm admiring the ring.
    “Oh my God Mina-chan, you can’t be serious!” Ayako exclaimed.
    “I wouldn’t joke about something like that.” Mina mumbled under her pillow.
    Ayako threw the pillow off of her head.
    “You should be exited, and what do you do? Sleep!?”
    “Hey I was freaking out!” Mina began, “I sprinted all the way back up the mountain, and don’t tell me you wouldn’t wanna fall asleep after all that.”
    “Well aren’t you exited?” Ayako asked with a calm smile.
    “See for yourself.” Mina said handing Ayako the diary.
    Ayako opened up to the page Mina had last written on and began to scan her eyes across the page. Shizuka sat up from the floor.
    “You hit me in the boob, you piece of crap!” She said grabbing on to her left breast.
    “Good! I hope I popped your breast implant!” Mina snapped.
    “Soo-ooo Kakashi-kun is giving you a nice tall glass of love!” Shizuka said standing up.
    Mina stood up as well.
    “How about I give YOU a nice tall glass of shut the hell up?”
    Shizuka laughed looking down at Mina.
    Mina was awfully short for her age. She was seventeen but yet she was 4’10. It was a bit strange for her appearance as well, seeing that she had a fully developed female body but still very short.
    “I love you Mina-chan you are so cute!” Shizuka said picking her up and throwing her onto her bed.
    Ayako closed her diary.
    “Ok that isn’t enough for me, you have to tell us EVERYTHING!” Ayako said adoring Mina’s ring again.
    Mina looked at both of the girls staring at her wide eyed. Two against one. Mina sighed.
    “Okay…” She began

    “I’ll be back in time I promise.” Xedeallea said putting her golden blonde hair with a pink strand in a high ponytail. Her teal eyes stared straight back to Infiniti’s bright green eyes.
    “I just don’t want you to miss it, this is the best day of my life.” Infiniti said.
    Xedeallea sighed and examined Infiniti. She was eleven, and it was her graduation day from the ninja academy. She had hope in her bright green eyes that Xedeallea wouldn’t miss it. She was a bit uneasy. She began to fidget with an end of her shiny brown hair that went to her shoulders. That was a sign that “I’m going to be mad at you if you miss it.” She had two red birthmarks underneath her eyes, at first to one they would look as if they were scars.
    “I’m not going to miss it. I promise…” Xedealla said now facing her mirror.
    She reached to a small container that had blue paint in it. She put two blue lines across her cheekbones.
    “Why do you even have to go to Konoha again?” Infiniti asked. “If you’re not careful you’re going to get in trouble.”
    “I don’t know…” Xedeallea began. “I’ve just wanted to cause a little bit of trouble lately.” She faced Infiniti with a smirk. Infiniti rolled her eyes and grabbed her sand gourd and put it over her back. She slid open the door and faced Xedeallea.
    “Please don’t miss this for the world.” She said.
    Xedeallea didn’t say anything. And with that Infiniti left. After she left Xedeallea sat down in front of her drawer and opened a small chest that had a leather book, with gold pages. Feathers from an eagle were hanging off of the front cover. She opened it up and grabbed a sharpened piece of charcoal and began to slowly write onto the golden page.

    Dear Diary,

    I can’t help it, I want to go out again tonight. I don’t know why but all I’ve been wanting to do lately is cause mischief. The only problem is that it’s also Infiniti’s graduation today. She really wants me to go and not miss it. I’ll feel really bad if I do miss it, but I just want to get out of here and she knows I do. My dad has been in such a bad mood lately and that’s another reason why I want to get out of here. If I miss Infiniti’s graduation I’m going to feel so bad. Maybe I can make it back in time. But I feel that she’s suspecting that power. Nobody knows that I have a second form yet. If anyone found out my dad would get furious. Especially since I am a dragon. Even if they found out that Orochimaru-sama gave it that power to me… Well I am not in the mood for any writing right now. I want to get the hell out of here.

    She quickly shut her book and grabbed onto her cloak. That as well was made of dyed eagle feathers of all different colors. It had ram horns on the top, with the wolf skin hood and snake eyes in the hood. It looked somewhat like a dragon. She pulled the hood over her head and left her room.



    Infiniti was finally outside of her house but did not go inside. Her house was looked almost as if it were standing on four legs from four tall pieces or wood that held it up. A small set of stairs led to the door but Infinity went underneath her house. Under there was a small pond with crystal blue water, nobody else but Infiniti knew about it. She sat next to the pond and lay her sand gourd aside. She Put her hand into the crisp water, it was almost as if the water shimmered when she did. She sighed. She lifted her hand out of the water, her hand still dripping with it. She drew a small circle around the pond with her wet hand. Only moments later small flowers began to sprout around the small lake. She sighed again. She picked up her gourd and went inside of her house.

    As she set her gourd down and walked to her room she thought.
    (why? Why does she keep changing like that?)
    When she entered her room she immediately grabbed her diary which was sitting on her bed. It was made of chrome and was pink . Her father had made it for her before he had died. She used a paintbrush to write down her thoughts and feelings.

    Dear Diary,

    It has happened again. Xedeallea keeps acting so strange. All she wants to do now is go out and cause trouble. I’m really worried about her. Today is my graduation. Yesterday she said she would come to it, but now she changed her mind, and she’s going out again to cause more trouble! I am so angry! She even promised me. And she said she would come back in time for my graduation but I don’t believer her. She just seems more meaner and bitter. I really want to help her but I don’t know how. I also seem more suspicious about her. She usually lets me come with her on her missions but now she won’t let me anymore. I feel horrible. It almost seems as if she is hiding things from me. I just don’t get it. We’re best friends and now she almost hates me. But I don’t care. If she can go and goof off, than I can goof off too. Maybe I’ll dye my hair! I also visited the little pond a few minutes ago. I love it there. It really reminds me of mom and dad.


    She sighed and set her diary back on her bed. It didn’t matter to her if anyone read it.

    Evening was sweeping across Konoha. Shizuka and Ayako had been listening to Mina talk this whole time and asked her numerous questions about how she felt, and what she planned to do.
    “When will you guys stop asking questions?” Mina asked agitatedly.
    “Never!” exclaimed Ayako and Shizuka.
    Mina buried her head in her pillow. She was tired of the nonstop questions.
    “Okay one last question.” said Ayako. “What are you going to tell mom?”
    Mina immediately sat up.
    “Don’t say that!”
    “Well you have to tell her sometime!” said Shizuka.
    Mina grabbed onto her shoulders.
    “She’ll throw a b***h fit, or she won’t leave me alone about like you!”
    She threw herself back down on her bed. Shizuka and Ayako sighed and looked at one another.
    “Well we’ll help you with mom.” Ayako said with a smile.
    Mina sat up and smiled back “Thanks.”
    “Anywho, you have to go see Kakashi-kun. You really flipped out I‘ve never seen you run that fast.” Shizuka said.
    “Wait!” Mina said putting her hand up.
    She went down to the floor and press her ear up against it. She sat back up.
    “Mom’s home…” she said staring at Ayako.
    “So?” she replied.
    “You know she’s going to notice what’s up!”
    Ayako sighed.
    “Okay, I’ll get you out of here. Go and find Kakashi-kun, and I’ll come and get you when mom goes to bed. But you do realize that you have to tell her eventually.”
    “Okay.”
    Ayako opened Mina’s window as she crept out.
    “Later.” she said as she slowly climbed down the vines growing on the wall. Shizuka peered out the window.
    “Get lucky tonight!” She yelled down.
    Mina looked up and flipped Shizuka off with a smirk.
    Ayako grabbed Shizuka and pulled her back in. She put her in a chokehold.
    “What would we do without you?!” she said
    “What are you two doing?” said a woman’s voice. The two girls looked up.
    Shizuka got out of Ayako’s grasp. “Hi miss Kawabe-sama!” she exclaimed.
    “Hey mom.” said Ayako.
    The woman had the long blue curls and green eyes. She looked around in Mina’s room.
    “Where’s Minako?” she asked.
    “O-on a mission.” Shizuka said.
    “Well Ayako, why aren’t you with her?” said the woman again.
    There was a short pause as Ayako and Shizuka looked at one another.
    “Um, it’s a long story.” Shizuka said.
    Minako’s mom looked at them suspiciously then walked off.
    Ayako hit Shizuka upside her head.
    “You idiot!”


    Mina hurried down the small mountain that her house was atop of. She looked back once to make sure that her mother wasn’t getting suspicious. She let a sigh escape as she kept thinking of the day that she’ll have to tell her mother. She looked back one more time.
    (What will she say?)
    She turned back around startled by Kakashi standing right in front of her. She put her hand to her chest.
    “Are you trying to kill me?” she said.
    “Are you going to freak out and sprint away again?” he asked.
    Mina smiled then rolled her violet eyes.
    “Even if I stayed Ayako and Shizuka would have made this situation more awkward.”
    “They already hunted you down?”
    “Obviously.”
    There was a short pause.
    “Why are you even out here?” Kakashi asked.
    Mina sighed.
    “Well…I just really don’t know how to tell my mom about this.”
    Kakashi didn’t understand but he thought it would be better if he didn’t ask any questions.
    “But I think that this is one of the best choices I’ve made in my entire life.” Mina said reassuringly.
    Kakashi smiled at her under his mask.
    “Now let’s get the hell away from here before Ayako and Shizuka hunt us down again.”


    Kakashi and Mina walked and talked with one another for about an hour, until the stars were high in the sky. After a while they sat in the wide open grass and stared up at the stars. She rested her head on his shoulder as he put his arm around her.
    “Sometimes I wish that my dad were here again,” Mina began, “He would really understand how I feel.”
    “Mina, you never told me this but how did your father die?” Kakashi asked.
    Mina swallowed.
    “He was assassinated…when I was eleven…”
    Kakashi could tell that Mina did not want to talk about it so he didn’t speak another word of it.
    “But you know, at first you were like my brother, but now I feel like we’ve been in love forever.” Mina said. “And sometimes I just look at you and I see Obito right through you.”
    “Mina!” said a loud voice grabbing onto Mina’s shoulders and making her jump.
    It was only Shizuka, Mina sighed.
    “Yeah, you hunt me down and then scare me half to death.” Mina grumbled.
    “Ayako kicked me out because she’s stalling your mom.”
    “I hope she’s doing a good job of it.”
    “That’s what she said.” Shizuka chuckled.
    This always made Kakashi and Mina laugh. There was never a day that passed without reckless Shizuka.
    Now hours were passing when Minako, Kakashi and Shizuka were all outside, talking, laughing.
    “Remember that day when we all planted that apple tree in my backyard?” Mina asked. Kakashi and Shizuka both nodded. Mina sighed and smiled.
    “It’s HUGE now, I remember Ayako-chan kept saying it wasn’t going to grow.”
    Shizuka sat up.
    “Do you think your sister can hold off your mom much longer?” She asked.
    “She’s asleep by now. But I should get home before my mom throws a b***h fit.” Mina said.


    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

    Xedeallea walked down the hallway slowly and tiredly. She had been out late now. She stopped in front of her door to see that there was a blood stain on the right side of her cloak.
    “s**t…” she mumbled.
    She folded over the side of the cloak that had the blood stain and opened the door to her room. She froze in her steps to see Infiniti, sitting on her bed with a forehead protector around her neck.
    “I CAN NOT believe you.” She said angrily standing up.
    Xedeallea sighed and closed her eye.
    “Infiniti, I-”
    “No I really don’t want to hear it I’m pissed off enough.” Infiniti interrupted. “You promised me.”
    “Look I didn’t mean to I lost track of the time.” Xedeallea said throwing her cloak onto the bed.
    A tear escaped Infiniti’s eye headed to the door.
    “I guess I’ll see you tomorrow?” Infiniti asked.
    “Whatever.” Xedeallea said.
    “You’re changing. What happened to the old Xedeallea I used to know?” Infiniti asked before she left Xedeallea’s room.
    She stared at her door for a moment before she looked away and began to remove the blue paint from her cheekbones. Minutes later when she had her hair down and was ready for bed a tall man with blonde hair and teal eyes as well opened the her door. She jumped for a moment.
    “Dad, don’t do that.” she said.
    “Were were you.” He commanded.
    Xedeallea swallowed.
    “Here.” she said.
    “Don’t you dare even start that with me!” he snapped. “I just heard you come in.”
    Xedeallea sighed again trying not to yell back.
    “Can we please talk about this tomorrow morning?” she said looking up with bitterness in her eyes.
    Her father gave her a cold stare and then closed her door. She picked up her diary for a moment then put it back down on the desk.



    Infiniti walked home again with tears streaking down her cheeks.
    (Why? What did I do to make her be this way?)
    It was dark and the moon was high, but Infiniti showed no fear, she had taken walks home in the dark many times before. She knew two things now:
    Xedeallea was changing, and she wanted to change it. Xedeallea and Infiniti have been friends since they were both learning to walk. Infiniti is the only person that knows right now about her clan. But Infiniti really wanted to find out what always made Xedeallea get the urge to go out late and cause trouble.

    Mina walked around the back of her house and slid in through the back door. Her small black puppy greeted her and was about to bark, but Mina had picked her up in time and scratched her behind her ears. The little puppy stared at Mina with one blue and one green eye. Mina gave her a small kiss on the head.
    “You’re so cute Hanseiou-san.” Mina whispered.
    Mina with Hanseiou still in her arms peered around the corner. The light was off so her mother was asleep. Mina then walked down her hallway again and went into the same door with cherry blossoms on it. Mina set Hanseiou on her bed and changed. She then opened up the same blue and gold diary and began writing again.



    親愛なる日記、

    かかしもう一度私を見た。我々についてはもう少し話をした。私はそう多くは彼と結婚したいです。しかし、私だけでこっそりと家に遅く。幸い私の母メインキャッチしていない。静私たちに参加した。我々は本当に長い間話をした。カント知っているので、彼女は私の母綾子失速結婚したい。綾子さんが、いつか教えている。私は右の詳細は明日。すごく疲れてるんだと私はスリープ状態にする必要があります。


    Dear Diary,

    Shizuka and Ayako attacked me. They asked me EVERYTHING. It was so tiring. But when mom got home I got Ayako to stall her for me and I snuck out of the house. I did see Kakashi-kun again. We talked about it a bit more too… But Shizuka came and found us and I didn’t realize how out late we were. Luckily here I am now and I was able to get back into the house in time, mom is asleep. Well I’m very tired and I need to sleep. I can barley see what I’m writing. I promise that I’ll write more tomorrow morning.

    Mina crawled into her bed holding onto Hanseiou. She turned off her lamp and within moments she was drifted off.


    Mina awoke the next day very suddenly because she had felt someone staring at her. As her eyes slowly came to focus she saw Ayako’s grey-green eyes staring at her. Mina sat up and rubbed her eyes as Hanseiou hopped off the bed.
    “OK where did you go last night?” Ayako asked teasingly.
    “What time is it?” Mina asked still half asleep.
    “One in the afternoon.” Ayako replied.
    “Holy s**t, seriously?” Mina said with her eyes perfectly focused.
    “Yup, and you didn’t answer my question.”
    “Well,” Mina bean, “I met up with Kakashi again. And then we talked for a while. Then…Shizuka-chan came, and we talked even more. And I snuck home. And I think that’s it.”
    “That’s it? No action?” Ayako said.
    “Well ask me later, I’m still half asleep.” Mina said turning on her side.
    “Lazy piece of crap…” Ayako murmured.


    Mina finally fully awoke two hours later and was dressed and around the house with Ayako.
    “So all you guys did was talk?”
    “YES.”
    “Boring, why didn’t you get jiggy with it or something?”
    Mina rolled her eyes.
    Ayako sighed. “Hey do you remember Xedeallea? The one from the sand village?”
    Mina looked up.
    “Yeah, I haven’t seen her in two years at least.”
    “Well she was here last night.”
    Mina gave a confused stare.
    “What?”
    “Yeah, she was, I’m not crazy.”
    “Well wait--tell me from the beginning.”
    “Okay,” Ayako began “I went outside to go get some wood. And then she was just prowling around. I knew it was her, except she was wearing some weird animal skin. I said her name to see if she was real or not. She just looked at me and took off.”
    There was a long pause.
    “That’s really weird.” Mina said worriedly.
    “Well I have no idea what’s going on but we have a ‘special’ mission today.” Ayako said.
    “Well what is it?”
    “I guess we’ll have to wait and see.”
