She was almost like a zombie. Lae struggled to heave her up to a standing positon. She immediatly became stiff when she was propped up. The girl said, "Master has told me to kill you ma'am."in a very distant voice. Lae was in shock. She was infected. Was this same fate going to happen to her? She felt dizzy, sick, confused, afraid, and angry all at the same time. The girl took a ring out from no where. Lae heard a faint "Take it, please, ma'am! I haven't much longer! I'm Santia! Tell Holina I love h-" The little girl's voice faded and was replaced by a loud hissing.Lae took the ring. It looked like a fire rain ring. Lae was astounded. These were hard to come by! She put it on easily and was scared by the power rushing through her whole body. Lae felt the urge to use the ring on the girl. She couldn't! But inside her she knew she must... Lae grabbed the girl and used the ring. The girl started to burn. Lae heard a very faint " Thank you..." from the dying girl. Lae found herself unable to stop staring. Her glasses started fogging up from her tears meeting the heat of the fire in front of her. Somehow the fire didn't burn Lae. Sephie whistled a faint death song for the girl. Fenrir seemed to quiet enjoy the burning; no wonder why he was named Fenrir, wolf god of death! Holina had seen the fire and rushed into the door. She looked at the girl and said, " I knew she was infected..." she said as she put out the flame. " She asked you to kill her... didn't she...?" Holina asked with a trembling voice. Lae nodded. All family feuds were forgotten as they gave the innocent girl a long moment of silence to remember her by. Cordine watched from the doorway and turned away at the sadness of the room before him. Lae turned and walked past them both, muttering her goodbyes. She had already ruined a good family. What else would she ruin on her journey? She took her neko suit and threw it down. she uttered a small but viable "I'm going to restart my life." She headed towerd the Zen gardens. She would become a peaceful girl in the gardens.
